I've been meaning to hit this up for a few years now, and it looks like this will finally be the year. I count no fewer than seven bands on there that have me very excited, and a bunch of others that have me at least somewhat interested. I've heard some not so great things about the overall vibe there - but hey, free is free.
ah this line up looks awesome! i think i liked last year's lineup better (LCD is my favorite band, gotta be bias), but the fact that James Murphy is there is really awesome! im really trying to go to this!
i definitely wanna check out The Black Keys, James Murphy, Cut Copy, Okkervil River, Empire of the Sun, !!!, and Alberta Cross ;D
also, does anyone know what james murphy plays live? i tried looking up stuff but couldnt find any setlists

i just wanted to say that last year the website told me that tickets were sold out within the first few minutes, but i kept checking back over the next hour and a half and finally got one, so dont give up hope right away!

A lot of people had problems with the site last year, but it worked for me when I used IE after unsuccesfully using firefox the first couple tries.
Because Richard Branson is far and away the most batshit insane billionaire this side of Howard Hughes. And God bless him for it.
By the way, for those of you who have been to MPP before - how easy is it to get there by public transport? I'm trying to decide between driving down or just taking the Bolt Bus to Baltimore.

It's theoretically do-able but would be a huge PITA. Public transportation here sucks, pretty much.
I went to this last year and it was a blast. It was the only fest I've been to besides Bonnaroo and it was so nice not to worry about overheating or lasting 4 days... and this lineup is just as interesting to me as last year. I'm gonna try to get get pre-sale tickets for sure, I just hope that it won't be impossible since it says the tickets are via facebook... which is the only website I can't access at work.
