What's the overall mood of a FlyLo set. I have been watching videos and the crowds seem a little beat in them. He has said in interviews that his music is kinda difficult to translate live because its more headphone friendly. How would someone who has seen him explain his music.
I'm having trouble getting FlyLo at this time. His music is setting with me as well as I'd hope.

I'm wondering this, too. I'm planning on seeing the show barring no conflict with Battles. But I am worried about how it translates live.

So assuming Flying Lotus plays Friday night late night, what are the chances of a Thom Yorke cameo for vocals? Would we say at least 25%? There's at least some chance, right?

Emoney serves more of a purpose than any of you, especially Nate, whose incessant, garbled ramblings are so mindless and pointless that I get depressed just seeing them.

never expect a live collab at bonnaroo. sure it would make sense, but so many times in the past people thought that so-in-so would come out stage during so-in-so's show because they did a track together or something and because they are playing the same day of the festival, only to be let down.
just go into FlyLo's set assuming Thom Yorke will not be there, and then if he does come out it will be awesome and more than you could have hoped for.

Does anybody know if thundercat will play with him? I saw one live video where they played with him, but I didn't know if it was a regular thing. Can't wait to see FlyLo either way.
Easily my favorite set at Coachella. New stuff quacking kills! New visuals were really sweet too. You guys are gonna love it. Can't wait to get down with you guys and Flylo on the farm!!!
Gonna post some of his set online when I get back to TX.

He did "Shipwrecked" with Modeselektor at Coachella this weekend so its not impossible. Don't count on it, though.

anyone know who the drummer was that played with flylo and thundercat at coachella? the lack of any other brainfeeder artists at roo makes me think that flylo will be flying solo but you never know. ive heard pretty mixed things about the live-band sound (some say it was awesome, some say it was the worst part of the set), but i am very intrigued by the possibilities it brings... anyone who caught the coachella set want to give their 2 cents? oh and does anyone know where i could get a bootleg of the new LP?
edit- the drummer was ronald bruner jr (brother of stephen 'thundercat' bruner). looks like no drums or bass for flylo at roo
It's like, if I hand you a sandwich and am all "hey man, have a bit of this delicious ham sandwich," and then you take a bite and hand it back and are all "I'm disappointed, I was hoping for a turkey sandwich," you'd be insane
