Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I'm disappointed that Sunn O))) is going to be across the Atlantic around the time of Roo. I think they would make such an epic late night.
I like Sunn O))), but I honestly think hearing them live at like 2 a.m. after a full day of rabble-rousing in the Tennessee heat might absolutely scramble my brain. Seriously, I need to be in a stout state of mind to handle their brand of madness, and I don't know if Bonnaroo would be the place.
I was thinking if they started at 3:00 am in the Other Tent and played till dawn it would be a good set to lay down and just zone out to.
I'm not usually a metal-gal, but I loved Baroness! I would happily watch them again.
If you loved Baroness, then you should really check out Mastodon, Kylesa, the Sword, High on Fire, Pelican, Opeth...not exactly similar bands, but in the same vein.

This=you're a metal gal. Don't be shy.
I adore Dethklok, but didn't know if it was cool to like them around non-animated metal fans. I'm actually listening to Mastodon now, I like the orchestral-ness (if that makes sense) they have.
I've been to a few Gwar shows and survived the pit at Roo '10; I wouldn't let anyone take a pic of me afterwards, but here is Ron...
I was an equally hot mess.
I appreciate the suggestions, Juggs, I am going to make myself add some more metal to my listening repertoire.

If your just getting into mastodon, I suggest listening to the instrumental Crack The Skye. All the tracks are on the limited edition, without vocals, and they are by far my favorite mastodon songs. (no offense to anyone but I'm just not a fan of mastodon vocals for some reason)

Rofl at picturing acacia at roo. I can't imagine slam dancing is something that most roo fans can appreciate. (although I'd be pretty pumped for them to be there)

If Mastodon and DEP can be at Roo, Acacia Strain can too.
I realize this is more of a Warped Tour act, but it's very possible Every Time I Die could be there.. They have a new album coming out in March, and judging by the first single "Underwater Bimbos.." it will be devastatingly heavy. Also, they put on a killer live show.
I would also love to see Torche, Mastodon, Russian Circles, Young Widows, The Jesus Lizard, Deftones, The Body, Converge, or Refused there as well.
03/14 - Thievery Corporation 04/25 - Black Country, New Road 05/04 - In Flames, Gatecreeper 05/10 - Modern Life is War 05/21 - Spite, Bodysnatcher, Thrown 05/29 - Knocked Loose, Loathe, Show me the Body, Speed 06/02 - Bush 06/22 - George Thorogood 06/23 - Dillinger Escape Plan, Deadguy, Candy, Carbomb
So boys and girls. We need some metal. Kvelertak sounds pretty good, Bad Brains is kind of metal I guess. We need one or two metal bands in the additions. May i suggest Dillinger, Mike Patton in any form, Baroness, Valient Thor, and Torche

Between the Buried and Me anyone? They're brutal enough for metalheads, but musical enough to perhaps appeal to anyone with diverse tastes (which is perfect for Roo). I would be there in a heartbeat, LN or not.
I'm seeing Refused, Melvins, Unsane, Meshuggah, Baroness and Decapitated between the end of April and May. It'd be nice if Bonnaroo could snatch the Meshuggah/Baroness tour.

Sorry, but am I the only one who think Metal and Bonnaroo do not mix, like oil and water? Maybe I am just a corn hittin hippie, but I just see two different vibes.
Yeah probably, considering they've been mixing just fine since 2008.
Just because music is loud doesn't mean it's either a) aggressive or b) angry.
Here I am agree with Juggs, Roo has lots of different music and they all mix. I would love some metal.
