We've all got some. There are those bands or artists that, based on your tastes, you know you should like. And yet, for some reason, you just don't. You've tried, and it doesn't work for you.
This thread is dedicated to the limbo of "should, but don't".
Here are my tops: 1. Wilco 2. Broken Social Scene 3. The National
1. Radiohead 2. MMJ 3. U2 also I completely agree about The National
I swear it's not to be contrary, I completely understand the appeal of all these bands, but I've never been to able to get into any of them. I have a few songs I dig by them but no strong feelings, very indifferent about them.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

Grace Potter is a sacred cow on this site for reasons entirely apart from her music, I'm sorry.
Also, I can't really think of any artists I should like but don't, I usually end up finding something redeeming from most music I listen too, or the influences of artists I like.
John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it
*Wilco. MMJ is compared to them but I just don't see it *Skrillex. Love dubstep but no *Flaming Lips. Good show, don't really like their music *Radiohead. A band i'll never get, besides Karma Police i literally don't like any other song I've heard from them. I want to, I've tried. But I don't understand the hardon for this band.
Yes, i'm glad you're with me. Although i'm gonna need to educate you about the Beatles. I should make you listen to "The Magical Mystery Tour" "Sgt. Peppers" and "The White Album". Then you will understand.

I actually have all three of those albums on vinyl from my Mom's collection. There's a couple songs that were okay...but just okay.
