do not in any way understand why someone would want a dog that barks for a solid 10 hrs of a day but my neighbor LOVES it
Is the dog inside or outside? Or a combo of both?
I get self-conscious about my dog barking a lot outside and try to limit it and get her in when I hear her going nuts at a stray cat or someone walking their dog or whatever critters may be crawling around at night.
We used to have an issue with our neighbor's dog barking but it wasn't so much the barking but more the reason it was barking. They would just chain it up on a short leash (or originally a super long leash that would lead to him choking himself because it would get wrapped around trees and bushes and stuff) and leave it for a half a day outside.
Dogs are going to bark. Everyone gets that. But when the barking becomes a matter of neglect whether it be the dog wanting food, attention, interaction, whatever...it starts to get really frustrating.

Our neighbor dog barks for a solid 10-15 minutes a couple times per day. Not "bark bark bark" but "BARK! BARK! BARK!!! BARK!!! BARK!!!" We might not even notice if the first time wasn't 7 AM. Way to wake up the block.

one time I noticed they had the front window open and home boy was standing at the screen yelling to everyone in the front.
it's outside a fair amount, and if their neighbors dogs also get let out it just sounds like war sometimes.
they've sort of been fucking up our fence but it's such a little dog it's not going to do crazy damage, just drives me nuts
yeah I don't think it's a neglect thing the one dog just sucks lol the bulldog is a chiller and just stares at me from under the fence and struggles to breathe as they do

My dog has separation anxiety and he can bark for a couple hours when left alone.
My dog will be in a dead sleep and if I go outside for two minutes to take out trash or something I'll come back to her wide awake and alert and like "Where were you?".
I won't argue that incarceration is an effective means of rehabilitation but I'm thankful I spent the majority of this year in jail. Not too thrilled about drug court and a substantial amount of time on felony probation but it could be so much worse. Lost count of the number of times I overdosed in 2020 (4 times in October alone), have had multiple friends die since January of this year (one of which I found), and have 2 close friends that I lived with at certain points facing lengthy prison terms for the GA equivalent of attempted murder. Still have a ton of things to work on and a long road ahead but just grateful to be alive.

I feel like part of the job requirements for being a bartender is a general awareness of sports. Every single TV at the place I'm at is on a replay, and zero TVs are showing the NBA playoffs
i don't own a pair of cargo shorts anymore, but they could definitely be handy at a music festival and no one should feel weird about wearing them at one. however in 2019 i embraced the festival fanny pack and i'm glad i did. don't have to wear a backpack, don't have to worry about keys or wallet falling out of your pockets, and it's easier to grab stuff out of your fanny pack then a backpack. less intrusive to other people as well.
obviously doesn't work if you have to carry a hoodie or whatever, but before i got one i noticed my festival backpack always just had small stuff in it, so i made the switch.

I bought my CamelBak for mountain biking, so it's really streamlined with small pockets. Holds a fanny pack's worth of stuff and 3L of water without being bulky or too heavy.plus I feel like the convenience of the hose means I'm constantly drinking water without really thinking about it.

So do you just carry around bottles of water?
great question. at not so hot festivals i'd just buy a bottle of water and refill it. at roo 2019 i think i still had my camelbak but would still use the fanny pack for ease of access for phone, keys, nicotine pouches, etc. it's been so long i honestly don't remember exactly though.
