I was at work (I water young trees around my city) and we were at a park when some old people who were doing Tai Chi came up and told us about some “satanic ritual” stuff that someone left. We spent some time trying to figure out if the things were real or not

This sounds like an episode of that Son of Sam docuseries on Netflix.
had this reminder pop up on my google calendar what did my past self mean by this.
solved. my employer is renovating our office and had a handful of chairs for testing. this was my reminder to go by the office and test out the chairs before the deadline. i ended up going before the deadline and forgot to clear this reminder.
i only remembered because our HR head reached out to let me know the chair i chose was unavailable because it was like $1,500 and they didn't know that when the sample was provided. as i was looking at the pictures of the other four chairs and sending the email to pick a new chair suddenly the word "chair" fell into place in my head and it all came together.
like finding out how a magic trick is done and realizing how simple and dumb the deception is, the truth in this situation is less fun than the mystery. but i felt obligated to let y'all know.

Thank fuck. I hadn't slept in days worrying about your chair situation.
Massachusetts has been converting its highway exit numbers recently, from sequential order to by mileposts (like most of the country does it.) Normal convention would be to start with the higher numbers (north) and go down (south), but on I-495 they did the opposite.
obvious comment but "Fight Test" is such an incredible song and i deeply respect that the Flaming Lips chose to open an album with such a brutal track.
edit: and if you are making a playlist, "This Must Be The Place" is a great track to follow "Fight Test"*
* - haha but that's because you can throw "This Must Be The Place" anywhere on any playlist and it always works. but it does work really well after "Fight Test"
edit: also i always find it funny that byrne resisted writing a love song for a good chunk of his career, then he writes one and it's arguably the best thing he's ever done.

I made a playlist for a friend yesterday and nailed all the song transitions without listening to the playlist first, I'm pretty proud of it (though they were pretty easy songs to fit in but still)
You need to get a monocle to use in the event that you lose your glasses. Just keep it in a place that you can easily find it without your glasses and then you can use it to find your glasses.

I did this with Falaise > Desert Horse the other day and it was sick
