Hmmm, this turned out to be an interesting topic. As most, I find myself to be a walking talking contradiction in many ways. I cannot order pizza and I have, on occasion had tickets to a show and not made it in the doors because I was by myself and just could not make myself even get out of the car when I got there. But with proper motivation or other external motivations I excel in social situations at times...rare but it has happened. :-) Ugh, we need an Inforoo Psychotherapy thread. LOL

Is there a hipster street in Tucson I could live on?
You have two choices either 4th ave or The Barrio. Each is a unique gathering of hipsters combined with college bros on 4th and 85 year old Mexican men who play in Cumbia bands in the Barrio.
This is has been a particularly hard week for my grandfather and his battle with dementia. If you all could send some good vibes, good thoughts, prayers, or whatever, I would greatly appreciate it. It looks like our family Christmas is going be put on hold
I hope everything works out. Dementia is one of the most difficult diseases a family can go through. My Great-Grandpa had dementia before he died a few years ago. It was always very tough on the family.
Thanks guys, I appreciate it. This news has put a damper on my week. It's been really hard on my grandmother, trying to take care of him. Since my dad passed when I was young, my grandfather has been the father figure to my sister and I... he walked my sister down the aisle at her wedding, he's the one that I send a Father's Day card to each year.
Same thing with my grandmother. My mom died right after I turned 8, so my grandparents raised me from then on. She was in the hospital during Christmas and ended up passing away on my older son's birthday. Tough stuff.

There is nooooo way the Fordham White Castle will do this. They already deal with countless hammered college students, homeless crazy people, crackheads, locals and drug dealers every night. Throwing alcohol into that mix in the actual building would be like throwing gasoline onto a fire.
edit: “After all, the Grumpy Gourmet says nothing’s better than a White Castle slider and a Bordeaux,” said Richardson, referring to former Dispatch restaurant critic Doral Chenoweth
LOL!

A person with avoidant personality disorder may: • Be easily hurt when people criticize or disapprove of them -True. I tend to cry. • Hold back too much in intimate relationships -Trueish • Be reluctant to become involved with people -Romantically? True. Platonically? Not at all. • Avoid activities or jobs that involve contact with others -False • Be shy in social situations out of fear of doing something wrong -Sometimes. I almost said false, but then I think of how quiet I am in Troo because I don’t want to get yelled at! • Make potential difficulties seem worse than they are -False • Hold the view they are not good socially, not as good as other people, or unappealing –False
