One of the great thing about being born in the mid 80s and being a child of the 90s is that there are 10,000 bloggers writing nostalgic articles about the shows I watched as a kid. One important thing, if anyone ever knows of a piece of Aggro Crag from Nickelodeon Guts up for sale, please let me know. I will sell everything I own for one of those.
My little sister, who is 11 years younger than me, LOVED this show. She would always say, "Not the mama," "I'm the baby, gotta love me." It was annoying.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

Or how about Bananas In Pajamas? Oh man. Shows are so terrible now.
I had a plush doll of the baby dinosaur from this show but it had a hard plastic face. Anytime my brothers and I fought we went immediately for that toy as it would inflict the most damage when hitting your brother in the face.

Where do shows like Hey Arnold! and Ahh! Real Monsters fit into the great kids show conversation? I feel like they came after Rugrats and Doug and around the same time as Kenan and Kel.
Those were some of my favorites that haven't been mentioned yet.
Doug is still all-time best
Doug & Ahh! Real Monsters were like just a tad but before Rugrats I think. Ended before it did tho. And all of that was before Kenan & Kel. Kenan and Kel was like 98ish id say. Maybe like 99, but def no later than that. If it's earlier than that I'll feel really old.
Doug & Ahh! Real Monsters prob like 95, then Rugrats like 96-97.
Ahhh that makes sense. I can never keep any of that straight. If I had to guess I'd say a show like Pete And Pete (also amazing) was made like 10 years before Hey Arnold! but it was probably like two years before. Rugrats running FOREVER doesn't help keep track of anything either.
Here's a fascinating article about the effect Rugrats had on all of children's television and early Nickelodeon if anyone is interested www.avclub.com/article/emrugrats-em-79183
Ren and Stimpy was the only original Nickelodeon cartoon worth watching. Who else came of age watching SNICK?
snick was the shit. all that and kenan & kel. the best.
oh, and I thought it was *THEE COOLEST* when they had the show caitlin's way. I'm probably the only person who remembers that shittastic show, but she not only had a sweet horse ranch and dressed really hip, but her name was spelled the same as mine. which, if you didn't realize, there are literally like 30 ways to spell caitlin.
One of my classes has 3 Kaitlyn's. But we all spell it differently. My way (Kaitlyn), your's, and a hybrid (Caitlyn).
One of the saddest days ever is when I left my Cabbage Patch doll in the hotel in Myrtle Beach. I didn't notice until hours into the drive and it was way too late to turn around. I miss it
I also miss my Raggedy Anne and Andy dolls. I used to watch the fuck out of that movie. I wish I could remember the name so I could but it.
there is too much awesome happening in this thread right now that I can't even keep up. I had older brothers (8+ years older) so my childhood tv shows spanned a pretty wide gap. I loveeedddd fraggle rock.
my dream was to be on all that. and legends of the hidden temple. and guts.
a friend of mine bought the full series of are you afraid of the dark on DVD in high school and we used to go over to her house and binge watch it. that show is so fucking hilarious when you watch it now. I would love to make a drinking game out of it.
one of my prouder moments was organizing this group costume in high school...

I also just made all of those dates up. I'm guesstimating on what makes me feel less old.
Haha billybaroo. Yes, it does, but it's not going anywhere! It's at my parent's house. Next time I go I need to remember to get it and at least snapchat him to you guys.

I will race you up a styrofoam mountain for that. Every time I see Mike O'Malley on something I have to sing "D-d-d-do you have it? GUTS!"
ho-leee fuck...... That looks very similar. Does it have a hard plastic face and if so, can I paypal you a billion dollars??? Christmas is right around the corner and my youngest brother deserves a whoopin'.
Teddy Ruxpin FTW. You could really inflict some damage if you ever nailed a playmate with him and his built in cassette player. Not that I ever did anything like that.
edit: I did have Teddy perform Licensed To Ill in it's entirety on at least one occasion.
