I live in a duplex and the guy that lives on the first floor just asked me out on a date. He has lived there for three years and I have known about his feelings for about 2 years. If I was interested, doesn't he think something would have happened by now? #waytomakethingsawkward
You may have known for two years, but does has he known that you've known for two years? If not, he'd have no reason to suspect that you would have made a move by now.

He's probably having a heart attack over finally getting the balls to ask you out. What'd you say?
I said that I wasn't sure my schedule next week (which is true- I am busy Monday and Tuesday night and my Cheesecake schedule isn't posted Wednesday on), but if I have a free night, I'd be down to hang out as friends. He just responded that it is not what he hoped for, but he'll take it.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
thank you!!! I appreciate the info! I'll only be up there for the day on saturday, so pending how hungover I am, hopefully I can see a few sights I'm a huge coffee & beer person, so those are some great recommendations.
Hope you enjoy it. Living all over the country I can say, without doubt, RVA is home. I always come back.
That's awesome!! I met with a guy in the cities who graduated from the program at VCU that I want to do, and all he did was rave about RVA! (And bonnaroo, coincidentally)
He just responded that it is not what he hoped for, but he'll take it.
That would make me feel weird. Did it make you feel weird? I don't know this person, but that comes off as a little creepy.
How so? He's disappointed she's not interested in dating him, but he's happy to be able to hang out with her at all. I think he's lonely probably - and probably has low-self esteem, since it took him two years to ask her out - but that doesn't give me creeper vibes.
sooo. My plane got on the runway. Sat there for about 10 minutes. And then turned around back to the gate. They announced that the electrical system was malfunctioning and the fans weren't working. We've since deboarded and I am still in minneapolis. My plane was supposed to leave an hour and a half ago. And we still have no idea when it will be good to go.
(Flying down to Raleigh to visit some of my roo croo. And then going to visit VCU for a grad school info sesh. If I ever get there.)

He has told many people- a few mutual friends including my best friend, so if you were him, you would have to assume the word has gotten back to me? And then a few months ago he drunkenly said how I was the perfect woman for him and continued on a little bit with lines like that. I specifically remember saying something like, "let's not talk about things like that. Next subject" trying to change the subject. You'd think that would have nixed the idea... (I'm VERY passive by the way)

That is because you are a boy. He asked her out, wanted more, still wants more, and thinks that hanging out with get him more... creeper vibes.

makes me feel weird just reading it, he poured his heart out! well kinda, not really, basically not at all. guys don't have hearts though, didn't you know that?

I guess I feel like that's a conversation to have, not just a line to throw out there like she's giving him a pity friend date. If you're okay with hanging out as friends, accept that graciously. If you want to discuss feels after hanging out a little bit, have a conversation. Putting it out there that it's not what you hoped for but will "take it" just seems awkward.
Again, I don't know the guy, or the tone with which he said it, but reading it felt pretty sad.

I don't think you should ask a girl out if she lives in the same building as you or you work together IF... you have enough evidence to know that the feeling is not mutual. It puts a permanent awkwardness into a situation/place where the woman should feel free from that bullshit.
That's the real reason why I posted it. If he was any ol' friend- not a big deal. But we share a driveway and same outer back door/stairwell. We leave for work around the same time most mornings and run into each other changing laundry in the basement etc.. I see him too much. Agreed, one shouldn't make a move in this kind of situation unless you KNOW the person will return the feelings. ..and those of you who really know me well, know that I have no problems making my feelings be noticed.

Creepy guy tip. You need to inventory your lingerie before you do your laundry now.
Oh god. I had a creepy guy that stole underwear from communal laundry... that is the grossest/worstest

How so? The guy's probably rather lonely, and maybe likes sniffing and then masturbating into other people's underwear and may or may not have pictures of bonzai hanging on the walls of his apartment. I don't really get any creepy vibes here.

I am getting creepy guy vibes here, but mostly from you right now.
Is it weird if I didn't even go to Bonnaroo in 2012/2013 but I downloaded audio from the Questlove Superjam and the Wu Tang/Jim James Superjams and listen to them a lot? I just really want a recording of the SkrillJam. The Bluegrass Superjam was fun too.
It has crossed my mind... I also really like Dave Maynar's post yesterday about people basing their opinions about Inforoo based on the headliner thread and comparing it to a failed handie at the ninth grade dance.
..still considering it, but as you can see, I have a phobia of changing my pictures, sigs, etc. in social media.

(Once one get's their sh!t together, there is the new struggle of figuring out where to put it.)
Haha thank you, dude. I'll try put in a paragraph of me banging roadkill horses. I know you were joking but sex is the one thing I'm hesitant to write about. I have some good stories but need a few more years of distance before I jot them down.
