It's hard for us babies born on the computers and the interwebz.
Think about it this way.. some of us have been writing LOL, LMAO, BRB since AIM existed in 1997. We are in 2017. That's 2/3 of my life. 2/3 of my life adding acronyms into our vocabulary
I didn't AIM, I did Yahoo chat and it was 1996. I am old though so it was only 1/2 my life (actually less than 1/2 since I was 20 in '96 and I am turning 42 on the 29th).
My rebuttal from a kid with way too much internet access by age of 13. (Dad's an engineer; He made it a goal in life to build computers, teach us (haha, me - my brother is a bit inept at building) how to build computers, shipped them to schools in Jamaica and family members) - since I was 5.
But really I was thinking about it, and the differences are so huge bc of that just one thing, learning computers and Win 3.1/Apple II structure as a child. I remember my first computer class was in basically PASCAL/DOS at my Catholic school because my parents shipped me out of the hood to go to K-3 (Irvington, NJ is a terrible educational system; we are talking no computer labs at all until the last decade - metal detectors, gated everything). And I was ahead of everyone; to the point I restarted an Apple II computer and ran shit off floppies and knew what I was doing. We live in such a different generation than even one decade older.
that's badass. i grew up in a household of detroit car mechanics, so I grew up wrenching on things to make go faster.
unfortunately my motorcycle has been parked in a corner of the garage since my wife got pregnant like, 6 years ago. i'm not allowed to ride again until both our children are 18.
My dad had an old Honda in the shed for a long time, and that was my mothers rule as well. He had to give it up once he had kids, but he could never get himself to sell it.
That's kinda the boat I'm in now. Already had to rebuild the carbs and get all the rust out of the tank and clean it up to sell it, but I haven't gotten around to writing the Craigslist ad. One Saturday I'm going to wake up and Mrs. Snowman will have sold it in a garage sale for a hundred bucks and a kit Kat bar.
Yeah. Brand New, Taking Back Sunday, and Alkaline Trio.
i love alkaline trio
When we were doing the favorite albums list, I remembered how much I enjoy their first three albums.
The only time I saw them live was when they opened for Thrice, I think. I remember they were touring for Crimson but all I wanted to hear was “Trouble Breathing.” They didn’t play it and Thrice had just start their whole “we’re never going to play Deadbolt ever again” crap.

In a spout of burying my grief with shopping, I finally bought a new, king size mattress yesterday. Really excited for it to arrive, and to not have a spring poking me in the ass anymore.
So on google maps you can ask questions about stuff, and I get notifications from time to time to answer questions for people about places.
Beginning last week, three times this one person has asked about an AMC theater "what time does madea boo2 start". multiple people including myself have linked to show times, but they just keep asking the question.
anywho i hope they make it to the movie they want to see.
More than you ever wanted to know about Candy Corn. I used to make fangs out of them when I was a kid. I'm not really a big fan though I don't mind a couple of them on occasion.

I have never seen a Madea movie. Listening to the commercial for Boo 2 on Spotify 400 times this week has made me feel pretty confident that this is one of my better life choices.

At that point, it's probably worth splurging on Premium

When we moved, we replaced our 17-year-old mattress. It’s amazing the difference a new mattress can make.

In a spout of not quite Phrasing "Excited to not have..king size.. poking me in the ass anymore."

Last night I made myself sleep on the "other" side of the bed. It felt like a completely different mattress. Buying a new one has been on my "in the next few years" to-do list, but it may move up the list now if I can find a funds and a good sale.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
I am in a down spot at work, so I looked it up on the Facebook. So many burn gifs in the comments. To give credit to him, dude didn't flip on them. Gotta appreciate someone who knows when they got got.

I've always heard you should indulge on the things that separate you from the ground: mattresses, shoes and tires.

Here's a statement from Alice Glass on why she left Crystal Castles. The way she describes it Crystal Castles was an abusive relationship she was trapped in.
As with previous postings similar to this... remember that this is a story of one person's experience with another person. Some of the things she says can't really be verified. But I'm posting it because it's important to take seriously people who say they were mistreated, especially when it involves a person or entity who you might give your money to.
And, most importantly, if you find yourself in a situation similar to what Alice describes... please seek help. Stay with a friend or loved one if at all possible. Abusive cycles are incredibly difficult to break but you are worth it.
