What is this info regarding Jay-Z? That sounds really hard to get into.
Jack White is highly probable, he played a a few songs acoustic last year outside of the Third Man Records truck (didn't make it, I was still hungover at a friends house). There was some strange dude in a costume playing random stuff outside the third man records truck last year when i stopped by, was wondering if that was him last year.

no info besides do512 added them to their artists list. i'd say unless do512 is wrong he'll probably be playing saturday as that day looks really thin as the scheduling stands today

after checking a little bit more it's possible he'll just be playing at the mtvu woodie awards which would mean likely only one song with their format

No clue as of yet. The Thrasher party would be possible for the Black Angels. Still don't know what the main stubb's showcases are yet. I am gonna try for Andrew Bird Wednesday night at Stubb's and Miike Snow filter Thursday.
The Pitchfork Thursday day show at the mohawk has a good line-up also.
Santigold and Miike Snow both play on Tuesday night, but I am not getting down until wednesday.
I know Skrillex is playing the mohawk, but I could care less. I saw him play at Moby's barbecue last year and I liked Moby better.
do512.com is one of the best sites to look up bands. It is blocked at my work though and it's a mobile only site for my phone so i haven't been using it much.
Also, MXTX party was insanely crowded last year. I miss when it was at Waterloo park. Much better venue. I ended up just heading to Fader over MWTX last ear.
I love SXSW. Even if you're too confused to RSVP, you can just party at Waterloo until sunset and then walk over and chill at Auditorium Shores. I laugh my ass off when people say southby is too expensive, everything listed here doesn't cost one red cent.
I would advise against trying to see Jay-Z at SXSW. There's a huge fish like that every year and you'll end up missing out on all the awesome little stuff going on by waiting in line for an act that you probably won't get into. Unless you work for Rolling Stone and they require you to go cover it, you're better off paying for a Jay-Z concert ticket in a big city when he goes on tour. SXSW is about showcasing the little acts, you're gonna get real frustrated real fast if you only care about one huge artist.
Now, having said that, it's entirely possible you will walk by a stage and Jay-Z happens to get up there and do a set unannounced, by all means, enjoy the hell out of that, because those serendipitous events are what make the fest awesome. In fact, the less you plan the more delighted you'll likely be.

Fiona Apple just got added to the NPR showcase at Stubb's wednesday. this will probably be live streamed, but also will now be much harder to get into. Was gonna try and catch Andrew Bird.
edit: Fiona apple was listed as not live streamed.

Looking at the sxsw schedule is the best guide to give you an idea what to do at night, it's pretty ridiculous though. No other festival comes close to this. The afternoon is best to plan for unofficial parties.
It's always been easier for me to see "bigger" bands early in the day and buzz bands at night. The lines for established acts are long and there is no guarantee you'll actually get in. $10 dollars at night will get you into a show with at least 3 buzz bands worth seeing.

The Fader Fort RSVP is already closed. Hopefully everyone who is interested got in. It was only up for about 2 hours.
Jay-Z is playing next Monday at ACL studio and it will be livestreamed also.
Mumford and Sons is also playing a free show at a 10000 capacity venue. I think it's their Big Easy Express Collaboration with Edward sharp and Old Crow Medicine Show.

I cannot miss the Third Man Records showcase. Anybody have any idea how to gain entry? There isn't much information to go by as far as purchasing tickets is concerned.
When's the Mumford show? I'll only be in town on Friday.
Edit: Looks like they'll be showing their new documentary and do some live stuff. Full performance maybe? Unfortunately my Saturday night is already taken.

Fader Fort line-up is up. Gonna try for Santigold first thing on sxsw arrival Wednesday afternoon.
Want to catch Gary Clark, but may not commit since I am all about dickies. Saturday TBA and special guests always has potential. that's the slot Kanye, Bone and Sleigh Bells and Matt and Kim have had.
Guess I'm going to Waterloo (Gary Clark Jr. And Of Montreal) and the Workaholics house party Friday. Anyone heard of any happenings for that night? I was gonna try to get into the Tycho/Yacht/Grimes show but I figured wristband holders will fill capacity.

I am heading down this afternoon and hoping for Santigold at Fader, but will be getting there around 3 to get my wristband and she plays at 6:30. Hoping I can have a friend meet me in line for my +1. Other hopefuls today include Miike Snow at Hype-M, and possibly getting into the end of Andrew Bird at Stubb's (happened with Harper before).
Friday: Probably Purity Ring 3:00 at MWTX, Sarah Jaffe at PArish 8:00, Chali 2na Doritos 8:00, I have a spin RSVP but doubt I will be awake early enough to get in line. El-P 11:30 at 11 warehouse. Jack White plays at 11:45 somewhere at night according to do512. I don't really care for the Fader line-up Friday too much.
I will have my bike and be trekking all over the place, you never know what you will stumble upon.
