There have been a couple instances where different moderators here have asked me whether action needed to be taken against you. I initiated neither contact, and declined in both instances. I'm not so certain about that any more. You were gone for four years and choose to avoid any discussion of the Bonnaroo music festival for which this community was created. You put little to no effort into understanding how to properly compose posts in this forum. Your posts show you haven't taken the time to read the majority of this thread. Your idea of being civil in conversation is to simply type "MR." in caps when you use my name. You ignore many of the questions that are asked of you. Your replies suggest you aren't putting much reading comprehension into comments people make towards you.
I have put a lot of time and effort into this movement. To a lesser extent, I have put a lot of time and effort into this thread. I've asked you to put some effort into learning how to properly use this forum, and even offered to help. I appreciate hearing and engaging with opposing views, but the fashion in which you have expressed yours is not exactly constructive nor conducive to conversation.
Now, I could just as easily send a PM to a moderator seeing if they could bring out the banhammer. I'm not going to go that route. Not yet, at least... but I could be persuaded.
So here's the deal. We'll leave it up to a jury of our peers, our fellow users of Inforoo. I could be persuaded to initiate a request for moderator intervention if and when Chicagorooer's negative karma level exceeds his number of posts. The current breakdown on that is 375 posts, -138 karma.
With those terms being laid out, let's let the Inforoosters who participate in this thread have their say on the matter.
He's pretty annoying. It would be great if chicagorooer actually contributed to other threads, but it seems since he has been a part of Inforoo, it's solely to discuss politics. (KDogg also discusses politics frequently, but we also know him as a contributing member of this community; he posts in other threads, too.)
But should chicagorooer be banned simply because he's annoying? I dunno. If we use that logic, there are several others that should be banned, too. Does he qualify as a troll?
Maybe a mod can reach out to him and say "hey, dude, stop with the political enticing, learn to use the quote button, and become a constructive member of the Inforoo community". If he doesn't comply, then I say you can pull out the Banhammer.

I don't think he should be banned simply for having a different opinion than the crowd. To be honest, I haven't been keeping up with that thread much, so I don't know how exactly he has acted, but I am assuming that he does more than just disagree. Perhaps a final warning to cool it on the personal attacks?!

I don't think it is opinion per se, I think it is how he expresses it. Also at least you came here to talk about the music instead of to argue about politics not vice versa.
That being said banning seems a little harsh, if he pisses you off that much put him on ignore, if not just sneak in there and take a cheap shot at him on occasion.

I just noticed that per Mr Forwards post to vote Chicagorooer has lost over 150 karma points in just a few days. That does speak to the will of the board, I am still not saying ban him, but it should be taken into consideration.

We are discussing this amongst ourselves. I understand some of your frustrations with this guy, but if you have issues with another board member just hit up a mod via pm or discuss this privately (or even Facebook) to avoid any conflicts.
