Based on the amount of people that showed up Wednesday, how long the wait for the bathroom in Centeroo was on Thursday, and the clusterquack that was Sleigh Bells, I do declare that at least 1-2 bands need to be scheduled on the Which Stage next year.

Having bands on the Which Stage Thursday will do nothing to reduce the time you wait in line for the portos. Just sayin', apples and oranges.

How would opening an area with bathrooms not reduce wait time for the...bathroom?
You might be confusing Which Stage with What Stage. The Which Stage area is in Centeroo as well as the nearest portos surrounding it and both are accessible to patrons as soon as Centeroo opens on Thursday. What Stage on the other hand is gated off until Friday, along with its porto access.
You make a valid point about crowd control through. An artist or two on Which Thursday night would hopefully thin out some of the Tent crowds.

They should just put some portos up on the Which stage, so then a crowd will gather to cheer as people leave the bathroom thereby reducing the wait for the bathroom and the crowd at the tents.
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.
Throw an act up there from 10:30pm-midnight and I'd be happy. I think if they were to put a show on the Which on Thursday it would have to be done while the tents are rolling as well so it doesn't become over crowded.
I definitely see opening the Which on Thursday as a good idea. If Centeroo is going to be open, they might as well use all of it. Still like idea of the What stage not opening until Friday. That anticipation is part of the fun of Thursday.

agree with all of this. The crowd just needs to be spread out, with all the extra people arriving earlier and earlier, every year.
I like the way it is, it allows you to see mid level and up in coming bands. It also eases you into Bonnaroo if thats at all possible. I also like the chance to see comedy on thursday.
I still maintain that Daft Punk should open the festival on Midnight Thursday night with a stage set. And, honestly, I think Pretty Light and Bassnectar are big enough to do this as well... Spread out the oontz a little, and open up the late nights for some of the smaller acts.
And while we are at it...
Replace one of our three tents with a mega tent, that will hold (say 200%) more people. Use the old tent as a massive shade structure near where the food trucks were this year.
Keep the portos under the tents, they stank less, and were a million times easier to navigate at night. Partition the poop tents into 4 sections to better control the crowds, and make the entrances (there were 4 per tent) a little more pronounced. Adding 2 more poop tents to centeroo, and just outside centeroo would be good to.
There were plenty of water stations and mist tents in Centeroo this year, water pressure was an evil problem though. Building a great big goddamn water tower somewhere on the farm would definitely solve the problem, but if its too expensive, coring a few more wells and adding more pumps would help greatly.
Yeah, having the whole fest on there on thursday with only 3/5ths the space was just toooooo much this year. It was the only time that the huge crowd really got to me.
edit: I know the which stage area is "open" but there are no bands playing so nobody is really there except for people who just want to get a little open space. THere should be bands that play the Which stage on Thursday, and then the What stage area should be open, even if there are no bands playing there. Maybe have DJs on the What stage for the hell of it.

No. Not even close. Usually 1/4-half of the people aren't even in till thursday night/friday morning, so the fact that the Which/What don't have any bands there is hardly even noticed. This year I couldn't even move.
We rolled over to Sleigh Bells right before it started and could barely get close enough to hear it well. Much less see them. We ended up leaving and going back to camp early.
me too. I like that acts have their time in the tents and such. The huge crowd this year on Thursday might have been because they opened the gates earlier as well.
