Me - The Beatles
EDIT: for the 'why' - out of the 5 I can say I enjoy the Beatles catalog the most. Other than 'Yellow Submarine' there's really not a 'bad' album IMO. The Dead come in close second.

Beatles. Beatles. Beatles. So much stylistic range across all their albums. Sgt. Pepper and The White Album are two of my favorites of all time. Never made a bad record.

I read Neil Young's biography Shakey recently and have been going through his catalog. So for now I'd pick him. I'd hate to think I could only listen to one artist, I'd rather take my ipod.

Beatles. No contest for me. Just hands down my favorite band. I grew up on them, so nothing else was ever an option. I hope this island grows some good herbs to go with my music!
Beatles. Large and fairly diverse catalogue. Different vocalists makes it feel like different bands. (And great songs, obviously, but all of the selections met that qualification.)
Almost went Dead just for the ginormous catalogue but was a bit more chill than I would want at all times.
The Beatles. The best and most prolific songwriters of the past 50 years. As a plus they are the group with the most diverse catalog. You can bounce from Helter Skelter to Eleanor Rigby to Can't Buy Me Love to The Long and Winding Road to almost anything.
Definitely Pink Floyd. They're unquestionably my all-time favorite band. They put out both of top two favorite albums of all-time, (Wish You Were Here and Dark Side of the Moon). And they have music for just about every mood: introspective, silly, happy, angry, sad.

Yellow Submarine was an Incredible album and animated feature. But I gotta go with The Grateful Dead, no question. Honestly I'd choose the Band... but you didn't make that an option.
