seriously, you really did. Bonazi, do you think I am Mafia? If not, I ask you to change your vote. A vote for EAP should make it a three-way run-off. EAP wanted me in the run-off, then she should come join me. The water is fine. Heck, I even ask LD to switch, but only one of you, we both need two votes. If you think I am crazy, for thinking when someone wants to put me in the run-off, than to me that is a threat, and should be looked at like a Mafia move until proven otherwise, then if that is a crazy way to play, then shut me up and vote me off. The thing is EAP, NBF just said I was illogical and dismissed my way of thinking, you pressed on, Why?
And Mike D, why did you choose me to be in the runoff?
Honestly, a shot in the dark. I was not going to give my usual return vote to Noage cause he already had a vote from LD. Obviously no point in an 11 person run off in my book, so it had to be someone. I am not going to throw a first time player or someone who has had rough first rounds into the day 1 runoff first.
I did leave it open, so if you feel that either Belgian, EAP, Duddits, SFA and NBF should be there instead of you, let me know.

Honestly, yesterday I thought of changing my vote to you, EAP, but decided against it, because I thought it would look suspicious if I “copied” Scrog. You, at first glance, were the only one who seemed a little suspicious to me. I stayed with Scrog even though intuition told me to change it.
You could change your vote from Kat to Scrog, but I'd see Bonzai changing from Scrog to someone else if you did... provided she actually saw it in time.

I have no problem with you changing your vote but I'm not exactly sure what I did before to be suspicious?? I had kept my vote with kat up until scrog decide to "dare" me to vote for him and I don't back down from dares.
I am a townsperson not mafia and I really have no idea if scrog is mafia or not. I simply think he is not very fun to play with, is aggressive and often wrong. He also informed me that "in mafia he's going to be a dick no matter what, since that's the game". If I'm going to have to blindly vote first round (which is what all townies do) then I might as well vote for him. I'm an open book.
I have no real basis of suspicion, one of the supporting reasons why I did not alter my vote initially. Just a feeling... (based on the pre EAP/Scrog "debate")

A runoff is just an additional round of voting that occurs when we have a tie of top vote-getters. The consensus is that they are helpful because they provide additional information. As a general rule, I agree with this, and under normal circumstances, I would have changed my vote after EAP changed hers in order to make it a runoff again. Even under these circumstances, I thought about changing, but I decided not to because I agree with EAP. Scrog is overly agressive, makes up his mind way too early, and generally confuses the townspeople, regardless of whether he is mafia or a townsperson.

noage > null I'm really not ready to make any decisions on this one and defiantly am not confident that a vote for Mike D is the right choice for this runoff. I'll read over the last few pages, look at the comments and opinions of everyone coming up, and just see how I feel about everything.

Mike D hasn't said much but could be suspicious for casting the last initial vote. Someone always has to and it always looks sort of shady but, from memory, I can only think of one Mafia member that has done it since I've been playing. Mafia generally take advantage of a voting partner, if they have one. They also tend to do it early on.
The fight between Scrog and EAP:
EVERY time I've seen a game take second stage to grudges between players, the mafia is somehow involved with it. I just think three games is enough time to consider that one of the two of them has an angle here. I don't know which one but reading over the thread points more towards EAP then Scrog.
I agree that Scrog gets to set in his ways early on and that can lead the townspeople down the wrong road. I've been guilty of doing it myself. However, I don't think I can take someone's word that's it purely a grudge vote over them possible having an agenda.
And I don't like Lowerdeck's post to Bonzi either. I find it more misguided then suspicious. You don't campaign to get someone voted off simply because you don't like their playing style or the consequences of last game. Scrog is pretty dang good at nailing mafia down. It's kind of strange to campaign for him to be voted off.

Actually that is not correct. I was wrong about you, you were my first Mafia(because you did some Mafia things that I did as Mafia) and I tied NBF as Mafia when she wanted to do what? Ummm? Oh, yeah she wanted to put me in a run-off! She then became Mafia to me. The way the voting was Dubbits became Mafia with her. Seeing you as Mafia, I also linked NBF posts to you, which further supported my theory. Those were my three Mafia, LD, NBF, and Dubbits. I got into it with EAP, when she claimed I was Mafia, but voted for HEG, which was actually the inspector. I would think if you thought someone was Mafia, as a townie you would vote them, vote them off if you had the chance. IDK. People play the game different. So yeah, my 'witch hunt gone wrong' last game, included me naming 2 out of 3 Mafia and then getting onto the townie who voted for the inspector.

Scrog, I have to agree with EAP. You play a little too aggressive.
I'm sure if you just wait with guesses and explain your votes in this 1st round, you'd seem much nicer. You can make your guesses and accuse people of being mafia in later rounds. But like EAP made clear, your playing style in this 1st round is not fun.
I hope you take a note of this for the future, I think you're an amazing player and have an unique playing style. Just tone it down a little bit in the first round(s).
We'll be happier and you'll see that you can use the same strategy in the next rounds that are known for being more intense and aggressive.

Anyways, I am sticking with EAP for my vote. Not because I am completely convinced of her guiltiness, but generally for the reasons I stated yesterday. I agree with SFA that either EAP or Scrog have to be guilty:

Not that I am convinced of Scrog’s innocence either (at this point, I have very few solid opinions), but I also agree that Scrog’s posts here seem to be normal Scrog style from what I have seen.

When I first read this, I just let it go, but I feel you are getting personal. Actually, If you read what I have said, "I see two Mafia." When questioned why, I explained, 'because one voted for me to be in a run-off and another wanted to vote for me to be in the run-off' "Do with that what you will." SFA, while it's true that in some games, personal grudge things turned out to include a mafia member, those were later on in the game when someone started to feel like his/her back was up against a wall, not at the beginning of the game. I think it would be fairly unusual for a mafia member to make such a big stink about anything this early on and draw so much attention to herself, which actually makes me see EAP as more innocent than Scrog. That said, I think it's possible that both are innocent. I can say that when kdogg and I play games together, we are pretty much always going to argue with each other, regardless of our roles. I will say that EAP has arguably been a wee little bit on the angry side about the whole thing, but I have a feeling that she is just super frustrated with Scrog, and sometimes frustration comes across as angry.
Scrog, you seem to be missing people's points that they are making about you. You seem to think you've got this game all figured out, and you feel so sure about yourself because you were so sure last game that I was mafia because I wanted to put you in the runoff. First of all, I didn't really care whether you were in the runoff or not. I said that I wanted to put you in because you were the one who gave the first other player a second vote, so you would have been the logical choice. It wasn't some big deal mafia strategy to want you in the runoff. It was just the way I normally play if I'm a townie, so it's what I said when I was mafia. Second of all, you felt justified in believing I was in the mafia because you were so damn dead set sure that LD was mafia. I know you had your reasons, but as you saw in the last game, those reasons turned out to be wrong. You also pulled out some very stretching reasons why you thought I was linked to LD, and those were wrong as well. So, while I understand that you keep bringing up that you were right about me being mafia last time, can you please keep in mind that your reasons for thinking so were wrong? Third, it is "Duddits" not "Dubbits."
