Yes. This - and the entire movie - need to be seen by more people.

Idiocracy is a great, great movie.

I kind of liken it to Videogum, the tone is often humoruous but the information is totally real.

Well I mean.. they post factual information, but then kind of crack jokes about it

AV Club is one of my favorite websites. They make the best headlines.

I find it offensive that we have a Camp Inforoo at Gathering of the Juggalos.

Is there anyone on Inforoo who has ever been? we need to find said member and interview them question them and take I.Q. measurements.Waste 30 minutes of your life watching this it is worth the laughs also cannot go wrong with Vanilla Ice as an alien hype-man

To clarify, AV Club is the entertainment arm of The Onion. I'm sure we all know The Onion; it began in Madison 20some years ago, so I've been reading it in print form for over half my life now. They've been published together in the same printed paper for as long as I can remember. I hope that association sheds some light as to why AV Club is as it is.

It was started in the late 80s as a UW-Madison college paper and worked its way up.
It's always been in print as far as I'm concerned.
It used to be printed weekly just in Madison & Milwaukee. Denver (or was it Boulder?) was the first other big city on board sometime in the late 90s.
They got a publishing deal and moved it to New York not quite a decade ago. That's when you started to see The Onion Movie and the books popping up. It started popping up in print in further-off places then too, like Chicago and the Twin Cities. I'm not sure how many other cities it's spread to altogether.
Their editor spoke at UW my freshman year when they were still based there, which was rather entertaining and informing.


With all this talk of The Onion and AV Club, I think Dan Savage needs a shout-out. I don't know how many of you are familiar with his work, but he was a video store clerk in Madison when he started writing his column for The Onion. He's done fairly well for himself since then.


Also, totally random: I miss Herbert Kornfeld.
I bet he'd be down with the clown.
