Even though I now have essentially what is my old job back, I will not be in VIP for 2012. I'll just be happy to be at roo, and will suffer with the great unwashed.
After a 3 year hiatus from Roo I am thinking I need to return...I was spoiled by VIP the last three years I went. Sooooo if I do make it it will need to be again. Really looking forward to 2012 period.

VIP, oh how I will miss you!
We'll sneak you in, even if you have to spend a few minutes in the trunk of Holls car to get there.

YES! You need to get back to the farm, sir! After a 3-yr absence, it's practically a moral imperative! This year we had something like 77 ( ) in our VIP camp. It's where all the cool mods camped.
Hoping to be going back for my 4th Roo second straight in VIP. Sounds like you had a blast as a group. My buddy and I might get in on this if we can figure out our flight, drive, etc, in time to meet the group.
Is there a sectioned off area for VIP inforoo'ers? I would be in if we didn't have to stick to a strict entry timeline

Hey! You're welcome to join our merry band of misfits!
Yes, we have a section together every year. We always meet up off-site in Manchester, then roll in as a group, complete with numbered dashboard signs indicating our position. Last year, due to our large size, our camp was split. Buuuut it was still a big ol' happy family: we were simply two large groups camped across from each other.
We'll create a Facebook group for this year soon. That's another helpful planning tool. Plus, it helps you get to know the other people you'll be camping with if you haven't met any of us derelicts in person yet. We'll start the logistical planning in March or April, so stay tuned! ;D

Is it bad that I want to start the planning now? I have nine-gazillion things to do (that positively have to get done) and I want to waste time planning decorations and parking schematics.
I need to get on finding a box 'o fun like SpacemanSpliff had last year... off to eBay!
Theshining - we are a very fun and laid back group. Most of us have known each other awhile but we always have new people joining. I think in 2007 we had 15ish people and last year we had 35 cars! So, welcome and don't be afraid to jump into the discussion with suggestions, we can get kinda rabid as the time nears, but we're harmless - I swear.

The fact that I get excited to check a new post everytime I see a little blue dot next to this thread, only shows me that I really want to be doing VIP with ya'll this year.
We will without a doubt be buying VIP this year, it will be me and three others can't wait to stop by and say HELLO. BTW when will the payment plan begin? I don't wanna be late on the first installment.

Hey! I've added you & your crew to the list. I'm not sure when the payment plan deadlines are...but it's on the 'Roo site. Check back in March or April when we really start the group planning. Can't wait to meet y'all!
Alrighty kids - I'm anxious to get a poll going, so let's start throwing out suggestions for THEMES!
Lets have a week of suggestions and then we'll fire up the ol' polling feature and pick a winner for 2012.
I know a few of us are out of town *ahem* iSkew *ahem* and we are waiting for some old standbys to return for their annual pilgrimage to inforoo *cajun* *ticktrix* (WhoIknowwillbothbeinVIPhelpmedammitiwillkillthemiftheyarent)
So yeah, start throwing themes out there. Ron and I are contributing a box of fun (a la Dan) and I'm more than happy to do the coozies this year. Anything we can ship out (and have done WAY ahead of time) is perfect for us. We'll just ship stuff to one of the closer VIP'ers.
Start thinking about deco, glowies, outfits, VIP brunch and THEMES THEMES THEMES!
Let's get this party started!
After we get the thread up and going more consistently, I'll update the VIP FB group.

Let's not forget that someone (Keith maybe?) talked to the guy parking us last year and because of the cluster-fuggle that turned into he said he'd be happy to work with us next year to set aside some reserved space.
That would completely get rid of the need to meet up before-hand if we already have a cordoned off "info-roo" VIP campground.
We just need to figure out who the camping logistics guy is and contact them early on with some estimates.
I am writing on behalf of some people on inforoo that will be in the VIP section in 2012. Last year, there was a somewhat large contingent of us - something like 40 cars. We do our best to drive in together and camp in the same spot, but as you might guess, this can be a challenge. It'd be much easier if there was a sectioned off area for inforoo-VIP's in the VIP parking area so we could all arrive randomly, yet still be able to camp together.
Do you think this is a possibility? The logistics people last year made some comments about setting it up before the festival - and that sounds like a great idea! This option is offered at Coachella and other smaller festivals I've attended, so it can be done...
Holls in Charge Of our days and our nights Holls in Charge Of our wrongs and our rights
And I sing, I want, I want Holls in Charge of me.
if the rumors are even half true, there is no way im missing my roo again. june quacking sucked last year in MA
edit: noticed i made the fingers crossed list - ♥!
Awww, shucks!
Sure, I'm happy to help plan this partaaaaay! I've got enough "smart" devices to compensate for my attention defici.... oh look, something shiny!
And OF COURSE YOU MADE THE LIST! Sheesh. You are Camp Inforoo VIP Organizer Extraordinaire Emeritus. And thanks for sending the email. You, sir, are a ROCK.STAR.
(Oh how I wish KatyMae, Grozphan & Meredith, Bunny & Dan, JHo, and MikeD & PopsicleSarah could join us. But it's all good...they say fences make good neighbors, right?)
^ ohdearlord, looks like I went a lil' crazy w/the smilies. but that's just because IMSOQUACKINEXCITEDICANTHELPMYSELF!!!
Start thinking about deco, glowies, outfits, VIP brunch and THEMES THEMES THEMES!
Oh, shug, there can only be 1 possible theme: HONEYROON[/b]![/color]
(or variations on a theme thereof...)
We could totally go waaaaay overboard with stereotypical wedding reception/honeymoon decorations: white tulle & ribbons, silk flowers, streamers, Hawaiian leis, streamers of empty beer cans hung off the back of cars, etc. And OMG! I'm *sooo tempted* to scour the thrift stores for tacky bridesmaids dresses to wear for late-nite, esp. if y'all are gonna wear a veil and/or bow tie. I might even start making little carnation boutonnieres & corsages for everyone to wear at Brunch! Oh, and y'all need a special "Guestbook" for everyone to sign!
Yessiree, this could be epic. Huge. OVER.THE.TOP!
We can also do tasteful...it's YOUR call! Just tell me how I can help!

There's enough people that everyone could play a part in the wedding. Have someone dress as the bride, the groom, the priest, the grooms parents, the obnoxious cousin, et al.
