i have to turn my "strong maybe" into a "soft maybe". wakarusa's VIP has been catching my eye tremendously. i've like the linup thus far, lots of new bands i want to see and old favorites to gaurantee ill still have a good time. if their next lineup announcement has even a few names that grab me, i am going for waka.
i am bummed I cant do both. but, i've done roo twice and I want to at some point branch out. waka seems like it has a great time for me and no crowds.
would i be letting roo down by saying "next year?". just financially, i think i'll get more out of waka. it's all lineup dependent though...
argh! so conflicted! who knew i could be so emotional about a music festival
Yes, I'm fashionably late, but nonetheless here as always. And, yes, I'll be in Camp Inforoo VIP with my favorite family.
Here's my theory on themes: As long as the items enhancing the theme are easy to buy, then the theme works best - DiscoRoo 2010 and TikiBar 2007 were the easiest. Therefore, I love the idea of a HoneyROOn theme!! We can decorate and dress up = perfect! ***white tutus***
As always, I'll buy two VIP tickets and figure the partner-in-crime out later, cuz that's how I roll ...
^ YAY!!! The most awesome person from OKC (who isn't Wayne Coyne) will be back on the Farm!
Yep, the honeyROOn decorations should be easy: empty PBR cans on string, plus cheesy Hawaiian leis and flowers! Oh, and the white tutus will ROCK! Can't wait to truly start planning this epic shindig!
I sensed my name being used... I'll probably be there. As always, I can't make plans for sure until much closer.
I was the one who talked to the parking guy last year. He said we need to contact the 'event site management' not AC superfly. They'll (supposedly) be willing to work with us regarding a reserved parking block. I need to dig around, I think I found a contact for them.
HoneyROOn has my vote! Dani, I AM a registered minister... just in case you want to do a second ceremony...
Ron is giving me the "uh - no" look on the second ceremony. I think he is going to be wedding-ed out by the time we get to Roo. We might change his mind if there is enough booze involved...And if we can wrangle up a powder blue tux.

If all else fails, just have him wear a powder blue T-shirt. We'll use a Sharpie to draw a tuxedo design on it. Problem solved!
Hey friends! It's kasey!! Haven't officially gotten my ticket yet. But I'm pretty positive I will be there again! How could I not? Oh and I def need to be the flower girl at this re wedding with Luke perry as my date!

We may need you for the actual ceremony! The person we thought was going to marry us is no longer going to.
^ HOW COOL WOULD THAT BE?!? To be married by not just another Inforooster, but one who makes a badass Jesus, too! If he wears the white robes, I'll have to duct-tape my mouth to keep from giggling! But that would just be *EPIC* in its awesomeness!
I have gone VIP a few times but always had a second person. I want to do it this year, is there anyone that needs to split? I assume they still sell them in pairs. Anyway, sooo looking forward to this year!!!!!!
And OMG! I'm *sooo tempted* to scour the thrift stores for tacky bridesmaids dresses to wear for late-nite, esp. if y'all are gonna wear a veil and/or bow tie. I might even start making little carnation boutonnieres & corsages for everyone to wear at Brunch!
OH I would be SO down if y'all wanna do this, I have a few bridesmaid's dresses in my closet... one that is knee length! SCORE!

YOU'd be giggling? I think I'd have a hard time too if I wore the robes! I'd go more subtle than that... but I'd still wear the halo...

I'll most likely need the parking pass though, since I rent a car once I fly in from Nashville - and do odd things throughout my time in Tenn.
Sooo many engaged couples & newlyweds in VIP over the last few years...it gives me warm fuzzies! (Or maybe that's just the wine...either way, it's sweet!)
OK, before I forget: I posted a "Who needs to split?" question on the Facebook page. If anyone is looking to split a ticket and does NOT need a parking pass, please post - either there or here. There are several folks (me included) who will need a parking pass due to the massive amount of gear they bring to share.
Also, if you're in need of specific gear (tents, EZ-ups, air mattresses, etc.), then post what you need. We have enough resources to help out those who fly in...just ask & ye shall (hopefully!) receive!

Sorry Holls and various other rooster friends: my rsvp is going to be shifted from "maybe" to not this year.
Although the lineup is completely totally epic, I thought carefully about bands I wanted there to warrant the VIP purchase, and all around my gut is telling me "hmmm maybe another year." It's not that I needed a better lineup to warrant the VIP cost, because this lineup is really kick ass, it just didn't kick me into the "I need to go VIP" mode.
Maybe next Roo, but for now-- GA tent only Roo is my plan! Unless of course I stumble upon multiple thousands of dollars, then its Roll Like a Rockstar all the way!
Awwww, sorry to hear that! But the good news is: AT LEAST YOU'RE COMING!!! You'll be in great company over in Camp Inforoo! We will see you at Brunch, my friend!

Ummm... Psyche. Looks like still might doing VIP after all. I'll keep you posted and promise won't throw another rsvp your way until a ticket is purchased.
Hello All, So this is my first post ever in inforoo! Although I have been an avid lurker for 2 years. I am a "middle aged" lady who has gone to the last 2 Roos in GA with a friend. Loved every minute of it! I can not tell you how prepared we were because of this board.
My friend just informed me she is not up for going this year! I am not missing. So-since I'm solo- I want to take the splurge and go VIP. You guys seem like an awesome group. I am posting here (instead of the general board) because this seems like the right place to find somebody cool looking to split the ticket or tapping your knowledge for a referral. I am driving from Ohio so I need the parking pass-but I would be totally down with picking somebody up at the airport (or elsewhere) and sharing my supplies.
Looking forward to joining Camp Inforoo VIP! Thanks in advance for your help, Chris
Chris - where are you coming from in Ohio? and welcome aboard! you wont find a better group of people. (and not just because Im in it , they really are the best people in the world). I look forward to meeting you on the farm!
