I think DSO might be closing it out, but that works for me, too! I live in MI, so it's not that bad of a drive, about 6-7hrs. A *little* closer than the WV venue. I'm excited to see how they're gonna set up Legend Valley. I heard they're opening up some areas and I also heard something about bleachers. Should be interesting! I did check out the video for All Good 2012, Pretty cool. Really looking forward to seeing the Flaming Lips for the first time! Already got my tix, how about you??? I really believe this is going to be a great year for All Good. I really do like Legend Valley.
Oh yeah, speaking of tickets, All Good is offering the "Even Better Pass". This is pretty cool. If you haven't checked it out yet, it includes: Early admission to the festival ground on Thursday. Car camping permit. Prime viewing area with premium site-lines. P Private bathrooms (air conditioned) Discounted beverages Light snacks and finger foods Premium campsites over-looking the main stage Exclusive VIP Showers Private festival check-in and VIP entrance to the festival grounds No waiting in long lines. Separate VIP entrance to concert area Other Goodies This is the way I'm personally going. I have a few injuries that keep me from being able to carry heavy things or walk terribly long distances, so works for me! I know Legend Valley can get quite hot in July and the terrain can be rough! If you are someone with an injury or just plain don't like to rough it like you used to , it's a good thing to look into. Well worth the ticket price, I think! Just wanted to pass it along! See ya'll there!
well... michael franti closed in 2008... and his website says that he's scheduled for the 22nd...
Nope, Franti headlined Sat night in 08.
Leftover Salmon "closed" the festival on Sunday afternoon. Traditionally, Allgood has stopped the music after the Sunday afternoon act, there is no true headliner on Sunday, but in 08, Leftover played the last set on Sunday.

For the first time ever this year All Good is offering luxury tents, already set up with cots and everything. Conveniently located just 100 yards from the festival entrance. Check out all the details in the Contentment Camping Packages on the All Good ticket page. VIP or General Admission options here.
Strongly considering this even though I already have Bonnaroo and Forecastle this summer. Just saw Mickey Hart Band this week and it was an amazing show with Dave Schools on bass and Tim Hockenberry from Trans Siberian Orchestra on vocals, keys, and trombone plus 4 other fantastic musicians in his band. Seeing them again as well as Phil, Bob w/ Bruce, the Allmans, and Yonder make this one almost a can't miss. So many other great acts on this lineup too.
Any idea if they will still do no overlapping sets in the new venue? I've never been to AllGood and that struck me as a great thing this festival had going for it from what I've heard.

^ Sorry, but things have changed. It's now NO GOOD and ALL OVERLAPPING SETS J/k , it's still no overlaps. It's hard to have overlaps when the two stages are right next to each other.
Ok thanks, wasn't sure if that would be the set up again. For some reason I was thinking I saw there were 3 stages but I also was reading about a lot of different fests this weekend so I must've confused them.

There have always been three stages but one was in the campground. The no overlapping thing was for the two main stages only.
Appreciate it. I've always wanted to go to this festival based on the lineups but it never was in the cards since I've always gone to Bonnaroo and Forecastle is a few miles from me. I'm thinking I'll do all 3 this year now that it is so close to me though.
I agree. It's so much closer to me now, I don't know how I can't go! Haven't been to AG since 2006. Liked the Mountain, but I'm really looking forward to this being at Legend Valley. And NO overlapping sets! Still wondering for sure who is going to be the Sunday closer... @ ewelchd, I was looking at the "Contentment Camping" luxury tent option, too! There are so many great package options, I'm having a hard time choosing. Was going to go VIP. Going to be on crutches still, so it's nice that there are some package options where I might find some comfort! Still gonna dance my booty off!
Ticket price still at the 189$ range, get them while you can! Mcgoo248 I would love to be able to afford one of those contentment tents they look sweet as can be. I've been rockin' out to the All Good podcast, for those of you who haven't listened to it there is a great list of All Good artists from previous years as well as bands playing this year.
PodCast Featuring: Railroad Earth - The Forecast ; Bob Weir & Ratdog - Morning Dew ; Michael Franti and Spearhead - Hello Bonjour ; Phil Lesh & Friends - Not Fade Away ; Papadosio - Cue ; Lotus - Blacklight Sunflare

Also Thursday is a must for me, Galactic and Bob Weir will be fun, fun, fun! Sucks that the New Mastersounds will not be with us this year, I was really looking forward to this! Oh well, hopefully next year. I'm sure they will find a fine replacement for them.
Roosevelt Collier of The Lee Boys will be All Good's Sacred Steel 'Artist at Large' & will likely be seen sitting in w the Allmans, YMSB, Galactic, TLG, ALO and more.. who else is he likely to play with? Youtube:
No Big G? No Conspirator?what the hell...i was also thinkin maybe the flips would have gotten a LN..
with the exception of shpongle (and maybe lettuce) we have seen all those artists do latenights over the past few years. wish they would have mixed it up a bit. If it was me, i would have brought back YONDER for latenight ..
that being said, i think Lotus will still bring the heat. I have never seen shpongle before, i just hope it doesnt get too "techno-ey" for me. lettuce is always a good time. same with galactic, although to be honest im getting kind of tired of galactic..kinda seems like the same ol same ol every time i see em. papadosio will throw down for sure...
Sphongle puts on a great show, even if it isn't typically your kind of thing. I'm sure F'Lips will get a sunset/night set. Late night would have killed though! And real bummed Big G didn't get late night I think they'd be a better fit than Papadosio, but they always put on a good show too

I enjoy the VIP festival benefits but Electric Forest 2011 turned me on to the outstanding vibe in the GA campgrounds.
So... has anyone bought VIP but camped with friends in General Admission? I figure depending on how close the VIP area is that I could still use the showers & bathrooms (really a must if its 90°F/33°C plus). Does anyone think that would be an issue?

I think all the late nights are fitting. Especially looking forward to Shpongle. Also really psyched for Lettuce, they sound awesome and I've never seen them before. Really all of them look great, but I too was hoping for a late night Flaming Lips, Conspirator, and Big Gigantic. I'm sure all of these bands will be playing nightish times though.
I'm happy as can be that there's no Big G or Conspirator late night. Just saw Conspirator late night at Wanee and was incredibly underwhelmed.
All this live electronica has worn out it's welcome for me personally. Shpongle is where it's at.........psytrance late at night. Allgood gonna be blasting off hardcore.
Lettuce & Galactic latenights will kill too....... It was laughable how many jokers at Bear Creek last year did Big G late night over Dumpstajam after Trey.
Yeah, I've never seen Conspirator ever so I don't know what to expect just kinda assumed that it would be good at night.... but I really dig Big G's late night shows they are awesome. Never seen Lettuce so looking forward to that! Anyways here's some more All Good links for you guys!http://i50.tinypic.com/28tw2gx.png
