How is BJ Novak's book? I've been meaning to pick it up. Been reading Nick Offerman's book myself recently, it's great.
It's very funny and a very good read, lots of good stories in there at a variety of lengths. All the stories are very refined, like a good stand up comedy act. It really keeps you guessing at times, as you go from one story to the next, which always keeps things very fresh and interesting. I would definitely recommend, and I didn't know Offerman had a book out so I'll definitely be checking that one out, thanks!
What my user name represents/means: Well it is a combination of my one of my favorite songs from my favorite band (Porch by Pearl Jam) and the name of Eddie's band prior to PJ (Bad Radio). Also, sitting on Porch with a beer listening to the tunes on the radio is just good fun.

It's called "Paddle Your Own Canoe: A Man's Guide to Living Deliciously." Part memoir, part how to be a man guide. Very funny, pretty insightful. Glad to hear that about Novak's book. Consider it added to my amazon wishlist, which is currently 12 pages long.

I was at Wrigley and caught them at Voodoo Fest. Wrigley was amazing and would have been one of their epic shows if it wasn't for that thunderstorm. Still even with it, they played until 2 AM (after restarting the show at midnight).

That's great, yeah I heard good things about Wrigley that storm really was a shame. Them playing so late and mostly everyone staying though was pretty cool.

My great uncle was from Pittsburgh and brought the Black and Yellow to my young father at the time. He therefore passed it on to me. I dunno who has it worse really. Steelers fans in the middle of Browns/Bengals (division rivals) territory, or a guy from Philly who was raised into a team (in the other confrence none the less) and just dosnt bleed green.
I win because eagles fans think their going to the Superbowl yearly and its the worst argument in the world. I would assume Browns fans just expect it now and the Bengals fans wear their AJ Green jerseys and are content with constant mediocre.

hahaha. you hit the nail on the head. browns and bengals fans have accepted that they're never really very good (especially browns fans. sorry pj) HOWEVER, since we're rivals i always get met with the "oh, you're a steelers fan? why? fuck the steelers. they suck." then i have to point out our superbowl record, then they respond with "so, who cares about that. they suck this year." it's a constant back and forth....

"Steelers? You from Pittsburgh?" (tell them the story) "oh...Nick Foles baby! Superbowl!! We got it this year. The league got RG3 figured out and the Giants won what, 4 games?" (say 7) "whatever. Romos sucks dude. We shoulda won last year but THIS year they settled in and were finally going to win."
Thats the very same conversation every eagles fan says across Philadelphia at every bar. Im just happy that football season is the shortest season because I can talk about the Phillies/Sixers all day, and Andy Reid got canned so at least they can change a few new lines to the 50 year old script.

I grew up in Steeler country (Wheeling, WV and thereabouts), but have always been a Browns fan, unlike my dad and brother. So, now, I'm a Browns, Cavs, Indians (AL), and Reds (NL) fan living in Cincy. It's fun because in week 7 when the Browns playoff hopes inevitably die, I just quietly hope the Bengals run the table. That way I get 2 crushing defeats in a season! I'm not sure why I do this to myself. At least my Bearcats are lights out this year.
