I don't know if I believe Ntellier, but this early in the game seems far too early for the mafia to attempt something like this. But, it is also far to early for the inspector to reveal him or herself. I think it is much more likely that the inspector was inexperienced, rather than the mafia trying to pull something so sly so early.
Consider my vote final, i don't intend to change it.
@ maynardave, if you are a Townsperson and feel that we have two Townspeople in this runoff, I would argue its logical to vote for bonzai rather than Ntellier at this point. Ntellier is a goner (less nothing short of a miracle) by Day 2 anyways.

I'll null my vote out just to hear to help give some time for you to expand on this. If Ntell is a townie/inspector, wouldn't it make more sense for the Mafia to not whack him during night one? You whack someone else and put more credibility to the BS inspector theory. That way we'd be down two townies by the beginning of day two. I'm new at this, so explain to me how that logic doesn't work aside from the possibility of Ntell actually being the inspector and getting another guess.
If Ntell is the Inspector (I'm completely voiding the possibility of Ntell being a Townie and claiming to be fake Inspector, because if that is true that is THE dickest move a Townie can make in Day 1), he therefore could not be Mafia. Inspector CANNOT be Mafia.
If Ntellier is Inspector, he has a name for a Mafia. He is claiming to be Inspector and is claiming the Mafia name he received is bonzai.
We have Ntellier and bonzai in a runoff, one of them is gonna die in Day 1. If we vote Ntell out in Day 1 and he is Inspector, ALL pressure is obviously off of the Mafia to whack him in Night 1 (because he is already dead).
If Ntellier survives Day 1 (which I'm suggesting) and is whacked in Night 1 by the Mafia, this gives ALOT of credit to his claim as Inspector and bonzai is already dead.
If Mafia let Ntellier survive Night 1 and he is Inspector, he also gets another guess at who the other two Mafia may be. This helps the Townspeople.
Either way my guess is Ntellier is dead by Day 2 if the Mafia do not whack him in Night 1.

At this point in the game the Townspeople have much more insight to gain by keeping Netllier alive through Day 1.
I edited it back to the original earlier. I've explained it before but I can see now why it looks suspicious.
I didn't believe bonzai was mafia once ntell started his inspector crusade and targeted her hence why I said "go bonnie" plus she was voted off early last game. It took a while for me to realize the shitstorm it would cause which is why I originally edited it without knowing it was an unwritten rule. Chalk it up to a rookie mistake. Will probably cost me a vote-off since it can be spun to look like I am mafia/tied to bonzai since I also voted against ntell.
This is also why I'm not entirely sold on you being Mafia.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

If you were a townie, you would be making a long thought out post right about now convincing everyone how I am the mafia and that you are most def not who I say you are. Or at least I would, but I AM a townie.
Ok, now that I have survived the runoff I am going to go ahead and post this.
Obviously by now the two remaining mafia members know 100% I am truly the inspector since I targeted them in Round 1 and succeeded.
You now have two ways you can play this:
1. You whack me tonight.
But by doing this, you of course confirm to all the remaining townies that I indeed was 100% honest in all of my accusations. This also means that rdk gets voted out next round, well, because lets be honest, he has made it quite obvious his mafia association. I could list all of these but no need, they are in the thread and been seen by everybody. Especially his early defense of bonzai, who by whacking me, you ID as 100% mafia. SO, by whacking me, you are in turn whacking another one of your mafia crew, leaving yourself with a 6-1 disadvantage for the remainder of the game. Could you survive that? Yaaaaa probably not.
2. You whack anyone other than me. This throws EVERYONE back into speculation. The game is almost at a reset. It will however take some hard work and 3rd level thinking to convince a voting portion of the townies to vote me out themselves. Getting me voted out by the townies themselves is really your only option of surviving this game imo. Up to the challenge? Of course I in turn get another stab at a mafia member, but I could either come up dry in my guess, OR, if I guess correctly and throw the name out there, you get to convince everyone I'm full of it since I wasnt whacked and OBVIOUSLY a mafia.
If there is still time and you are a townie, you might want to change your vote.

Well, I edited my post because the rule wasn't posted yet. It has been reinforced multiple times now so besides being very suspicious you were desperate enough to try and hide it that you broke the rules yet again. If you are a townsperson still voting for bonnie, you have fallen for the weakest plot I have seen contrived.

Nothing says you will get axed tonight. you will probably survive the run-off and if Mafia whack you after the run-off, it will give cred to your story. I do not see Mafia whacking you tonight. But I would still like to hear your Mafia 3.
To answer questions re: when the whack/guess is done:
11) Voting will be open for 36 hours each round, or until everyone has cast their vote - whichever comes first. Voting will never follow the 36-hour rule on the weekends. The Referee will only ever close voting on a Saturday or Sunday if all players have already cast their vote. If a player has not voted by that time, their vote will not be counted. If a player misses two votes, they are out of the game regardless of how good your reason is. When it is decided that a player is out, they will be killed off during the day alongside whoever would have been killed by vote. a) If the Inspector has not made a guess within 36 hours during a Night round, the Inspector will forfeit that guess. b) If the Mafia have not reported a whack victim within 36 hours during a Night round, the Mafia will forfeit that whack and the Townspeople will receive another round of voting during that Night round to offset the missed whack.
12) The Referee shall neither answer an Inspector's inquiry nor execute a Mafia's chosen victim until after having received both the Inspector's inquiry and the Mafia's chosen victim. If the Inspector is the victim, the Inspector is not owed an answer from the Referee. The Referee shall only accept victim names from living Mafia players.
The runoff started yesterday at noon, so technically this round would end tonight at midnight. I will not be up at midnight to close the runoff, so I've posted in the tally that it will end by 9am tomorrow morning.
At that time the person with the most votes dies. The death video/story will be posted, it will be announced that we are now in Night one, and i will ask the Mafia for their whack and the inspector for his/her guess. Each then have 36 hours to respond to the ref. WHen both the whack and the guess are received, the ref announces the whack and then starts the next day.
I have a pretty good idea of who I am going to vote for, but I am waiting for a bit just because a few things have come up in the overnight, and I want to make sure that more people get to see them.
would like for everyone to re-read the thread and especially this page. if you are still convinced ntellier is not mafia, then so be it.
How would coming out as inspector in the 1st round help the townies in any way? It doesn't. It caused chaos and gives the mafia tons of angles to work with if they can sneak ntell through this round.
IF he was inspector, why would he not use his inquiry on me since he is so gungho on me being mafia? This would potentially save a townie from the chopping block.
Look at the situation he edited that post in. He knowingly broke the rules again to do it as well. Not sure how anyone can still believe he is the inspector.
Ok well since I am back on the chopping block I have no other option but to come out and say it. This being my first game, I did not fully read the rules. I thought Mafia only did normal voting and was unaware that they voted AND got to "whack" someone. I thought all i had to do was survive the vote every round. There rdk, you happy?
Townies, you have to get me threw this round. If you do the mafia will not be able to whack me thus giving me another guess and giving me my 3, since rdk is obv mafia considering how hard he is rallying people against me
