I'd like to see Alexander Payne win Best Director tonight. I feel like hes due for it about now.
I'd like to see him win as well, but given his style of filmmaking its going to take something more than The Descendants to win that award from directors like Scorcese and Malick.

I haven't seen much of what's nominated but I always end up watching. I'm bummed that they won't be performing the Best Song nominees. They could've cut Billy's song and dance and had plenty of time left over...
So happy Rango won! My kids (and us) love that movie. And as much as I love most of the Pixar movies it was nice to see some other animated movies get a chance for once.

My bliss was short-lived when he didn't mention Jason Segel who was really the only reason that the movie got made. I rewound it three times figuring I just missed it.
Wow... Natalie Portman is the perfect kind of beautiful: a culmination of grace, femininity, and charisma. In other words, she makes it hard to hate her for being so damned pretty.

I haven't seen that movie is so long. The first time I watched it, it was on HBO at 3am and I was just going to fall asleep but instead watched the whole thing. This was before I could just hit the info button on the remote and I didn't have a computer so I had to wait until the next day to check my TV Guide to see what the name was of the movie I was watching.
