Last year, we had Guitar Hero in the Arcade Tent... Think there's going to be Rockband on the big screen? That would be pretty damn fun, especially with the potential for an entire "band."

Fantastic idea! that damn game is so addicting! they will have to have it able to play every song. Although I love "Say it aint so." by weezer, playing/hearing it over and over again gets old. but yeah it would be funny to see some wook tripping out and singing at the same time. " Wow man Im so effed up. Oh yeah Im singing... 666- the number of the- BONNAROO!"
I played that for the first time at the bar last week. It was pretty fun. Last Friday my lady and I bought Guitar Hero and she has already beaten easy. I just beat Tom Morello on medium.
Well, those games aren't for me, but I'm sure people who actually play video games at roo would LOVE it. Sounds like a solid idea, and I'm sure it'll happen, if they're still sponsored by Microsoft and XBox.

what exactly was the volkswagen garage? did they basically have instruments set up and anyone could play them? i wasn't there in 06, but i play guitar and keys and i'm hoping they bring it back. i took my acoustic guitar both times i went to bonnaroo but ended up leaving it in the car the whole time. i visited the gibson tent a few times last year, but i'd like to play as people are passing by, the gibson tent just sits there in the corner. i guess i'm hoping someone like ben harper or any of the musicians that are playing would pass by and check me out as i was playing.
I had thought of bringing my acoustic guitar last year for good times, but thank God I didn't. My guitar would have been so warped by the end of the weekend (if i kept it in the car).

yeah you just signed up with what instrument you wanted to play, and they'd let people just jam together for 15-20 minutes(I can't remember exactly). We stood there and listened for awhile, and it was pretty cool considering none of these people had ever met before. I didn't see it there last year though.
It wasn't there last year^. Sucks, too, because like 9 of the 13 of us were musicians. We were seriously all wanting to do this (in groups, of course).
Hopefully this year they can bring it back, as I've gotten decent at singing and playing bass at once (which used to be a SERIOUS problem for me).
I have Rockband, wouldn't have the desire to play it at Bonnaroo, but I think it's cool that the option is there in big screen no less for those who dig it....
My friend has what he calls the "camp guitar." He has drank beer from it, set sparklers off from it, has stickers on it from his travels... he brought it to Bonnaroo and kept it in the tent I believe. It was cool to be late afternoon around the campsite drinking, chatting and him strumming along... If he comes this year I KNOW he will be psyched if Rockband is there...
I myself would like a break from Say It Ain't So and Maps....
