I was going to the Bond-fire on NYE, it is a 5 day fest over that weekend. Decent line up for $100, I got a special price, well looks like now they were denied a permit. the promoters did not ask the county in time, so the county denied them a permit. WTF! They are now trying to find a new venue and I might be trying to find a new place to party on NYE.

"TheBond-Fire Art and Music Festival Update: We are currently wrapping up the contracts with the New Property owners as we speak. We keep you well informed and everyone will know the new property in the next 24 hrs.."
I wanted to go to this but nobody else was on board with me.
I have been keeping up-to-date, although work as cut into that tonight, with the announcements, but they want to move it a few miles away, which I am assuming is in the same county, how are they going to get a permit, if it is in the same county, seems like thy would have the same problems. I thought I read the county does not have the adequate staff to monitor this event, so they did not give a permit, if permit was requested earlier, the county could have staffed properly(which to me this all sounds like BS from Lake County, but what do I know, I am hearing, we got have some undercovers in there, right?!). So if they are moving the event to another location with in the county, how or why is the county gonna give a permit to this site and not that site. If we go to another county, would we not face the same problem. I am not seeing a good outcome from this. Which sucks!
Considering the circumstances, we are forced to move the festival indoors to The State Theater and The Local 662 in St.Petersburg Fla.
All presale tickets will be honored at the doors.
We are working on camping arrangements for the campers. RV’s we haven’t forgot about you either.
Also, for our pre-payed vendors, we love you and are working on a set up for you.
Let’s go into 2012 with healthy vibes. If you are not satisfied with our services, all refunds will be honored the day after the events. We are sorry for any harm for having to suddenly change venues. Hope everyone’s holidays are still vibrant.
More info will be released tomorrow (12-24-11). Stay positive.
Happy Holidays, theBond-Fire Crew
So they are taking a 4 day outdoor music festival that was to be built around a bonfire and relocating that into the bars and clubs of St Pete? Epic Fail.

I'm surprised they could have even thought it would be a good idea to have it at an indoor downtown venue with no camping. That pretty much destroys the entire idea of the festival
This sucks but it seems like the organizers should have got their shit together. Getting permits is always an issue for fests all across the country. Especially the smaller ones that don't make the kind of financial impact Roo does. They should have had that stuff done months ago
Bacon I agree. Seems like permit would come right after the idea. This lack of a seeming important piece of paper, could be an indication for what was ahead for as all if this event happened.
I agree, it was just a matter of time. I like how they waited to say it on Christmas. That is to be one of the joyful and happiest days of the year and they gave us a lump of coal.
