If it were just about the music I'd go to EDC but for me Bonnaroo has good music and even though I don't care about the headliners a lot of the other acts aren't ones I'd normally find on my own. So I like to find new music I haven't heard before. BUT Bonnaroo has a lot of people I look forward to seeing and the vibe there is awesome. The people of Bonnaroo make the experience for me. Maynard also wouldn't go to EDC so I'd be at EDC alone and he'd be at Roo alone.
Depends on what you're looking for in a fest. Bonnaroo and EDC have very different scenes and music variety (one leaning towards the electronic side of things undoubtedly). If you are looking for a rave, EDC is your ticket. Otherwise 'roo would be my choice. Ultra Music Festival may be the better alternative for your rave/electronic fix, especially with the Phase 1 lineup posted. Downside is that tix have been on sale for awhile and inexpensive lodging is hard to come by at this point.
Same here. I got a pretty full Spring/Summer volunteering for WET... So I figure I'm willing to pay for EDC especially if I'm doing all this volunteering. Think I can get my camping fix at Coachella. Tickets on sell in 2hrs 30mins!!!
