FTR I REALLY want it to be Battles, but Steven Colbert guest starred in an issue of the comic: Teen Titans. He also has his own Ben and Jerry's ice cream flavor.

A football reference, maybe? who plays for the Titans. Anything of note? (I guess you can tell, that even being from Tennessee, I'm not a big sports person... bwahaha)
How is no one else going along with the Pixies as the answer? Pixies are a name amongst titans because both were mythological. And pixie stix have many flavors, so Chardonnay is asking what your favorite flavor is - not because he really wants to know but because it just refers to the answer. Pixies. Lock it.
I wish it were the Pixies, but I'm not sold on the mythological connection you gave. Lono's is better. There's a string quartet tribute to the Pixies released on Hyperion records.
Battles - fits, but unsure whether Gary is denying it Atlas sound/Deerhunter - no connection to ice cream/flavor found yet? Helios - same situation as atlas sound Styx - eliminated by gary Pixies - seems like a decent guess

I'm sticking with my Michael Roos -> Dunk-a-roos -> Prince logic lol. For for flavor remember some of his song names Cinnamin Girl, Chocolate Box, Cream, Lemon Crush, Peach, Rasberry Beret, ect. Sounds like a ice cream store flavor list.

Anything I'm missing?
I think SuperHeavy (a member of) could be a good guess... and lots of potential. Flavor referencing the broad music styles of each of the artists involved.
