I'm sticking with my Michael Roos -> Dunk-a-roos -> Prince logic lol. For for flavor remember some of his song names Cinnamin Girl, Chocolate Box, Cream, Lemon Crush, Peach, Rasberry Beret, ect. Sounds like a ice cream store flavor list.

The teen Titans, a group of young comic book heroes and referred to at times as "The Titans", have member named Skitter. The name skitter brings to mind Skittles, which definitely has "flavors". The original flavors of Skittles are:
Blackcurrant (purple) Lemon Lime Orange Strawberry Cherry Cola Blue (limited flavor)
Plus there are other lines of Skittles that have flavors, eg: Tropical.

Puscifer- Poseidon reference-Song Man Overboard...as for the flavors...could be referencing Maynards Winery...or which of his bands do you prefer...Tool, A Perfect Circle or Puscifer...

Sort of surprised no one mentioned it yet, so.... one of DC's main Teen Titans: Beast Boy. which would lead obviously to Beastie Boys (2nd part's harder to fit, but in their own words they've "got more flavor than fruit-striped gum," plus there's the whole flavor in terms of hip-hop, and the "best check yo-self" reply leans toward hip-hop too... )
