I'm am thinking about taking an RV to this years Bonnaroo. What is the vibe/atmosphere like in RV camping. Is it lots of older ppl or is it about the same as the regular camping?? Thanx guys.
Im coming in in an RV this year too, going GA. From what I gather, the regular camping and RV area are different, but its all about how you make your own Roo I think.
I am wondering about the fumes from the generators...

Seems like at night most people will have their generators off since it will be cool and during the day most ppl will be in centeroo so probably 10am-noon will be the worst for fumes. Idk really. We are doing RV but going with some rv vets so I'm sure they will know what's up.

I have found, the proper way to huff fumes from a generator, is to not let your lips touch the exhaust pipe. I know you will lose some fumes when using this technique, but it will save you some mouth sores and trust me, mouth sores are not good when trying to score some Roo-tang, heck, when trying to score some tang, mouth sores are not good, no matter what time of the year it may be.
and I hear good things about RV GA, a matter of fact I am switchig to RV GA this year and I do not even own an RV.
I went back in 09' and was parked next to an rv who's exhaust was blowing constantly into our rv. Our carbon monoxide detector went off all the time at night. In the article, it mentions using special pipes that draw the exhaust above the rv instead of sideways.

Anyone know where the GA RV camping area is? Last year we tent camped in GA, got in around midnight Wednesday night/Thursday morning and got stuck in BFE. Don't want that to happen again. If we bring an RV are we put in a separate area or should we plan on not getting in too early so as to avoid getting stuck out in the middle of nowhere?
This will be #6 Bonnaroo with the RV, and I am older but bring 10 or so 20-30 year olds with me, I would have to say it's pretty diverse in RV camping, the first year we parked near what is now the rental tents, close to the main gate entrance, not far at all, now we park next to the ferris wheel, last year was the first time we had a problem with the neighbors exhaust, but we diverted the fumes, most people are willing to work with you if somethings a issue. Alot of our friends are in the tents camping, and we do go and visit them, but most of them end up at the RV hanging out, recharging the body and the phones, also in general the RV camping areas are drier, which is great when the rain dumps on you, I have seen tents floating...Last year in our area I met around 10 people over 35, the rest where 20 somethings, we go in when the gates open up Wednesday around 4-5pm, never been a problem... have fun be safe enjoy the journey

if you get their early with first waves on wednesday you will usually be around biff tannen.. i've been there for the past 3 years if you get stuck in traffic, ive know people to get camp zed right by interstate
We had a great RV expierence. We had a corner lot and lot of room. Did not feel like a crammed sardines, as i did in general camping, and the Portos were great cause a lot of people go in their RVs.
I do need to warn you, after youve experienced sleeping in AC at Bonnaroo, there's no going back, or you'll be miserable.
