Wow! boysetsfire is still around? I remember jamming their shit like 15 years ago, even saw em live a time or two. I believe they had a Louisville connection, either from here or just signed to a local label. Anywho, they used to play here all the time, never woulda thought they'd last 15-20 years.

They were signed to Initial,at first (your local label), before moving onto Equal Vision.

I went to Bamboozle the second day in 2010, which featured Weezer, MGMT, Matt & Kim, MuteMath, Violens, Young The Giant, Good Old War, OK Go, Grieves, and a few other acts. I thought that was pretty decent for 60 dollars, but this is just so... blah.

Anybody know if they're looking for volunteers like at Roo? I have a friend with family that lives about half an hour from Asbury Park (so I'd have a place to stay), so if I could volunteer and pay for the ticket in, all I would have to pay for is the gas/plane ticket.
I don't know how accurate this is currently but how terrible does your booking department have to be to drop upwards of a million dollars on a headliner ironically.
That's true. However, it's hard for me to believe that at a fest full of awful rappers, past-their-prime emo-pop bands, a few random tough-guy hardcore & screamo bands, and some terrible electro for good measure, that Bon Jovi is topping that bill without an implied " EH?!?!? SEE WHAT WE DID THERE?!?!?!"
Like I'm just picturing a bunch of stupid 16-18 year old kids singing along to "livin on a prayer" and then looking at each other and going "oh, well uh... that's the only Bon Jovi song we've ever heard, and this guy still has an hour and a half left soooo... uhhhh... YOU GUYZ WANNA GO WATCH BAYSIDE LOL"
