Anyone else planning on coming up to Denton for this? Every year more and more artists rave about how much they love this community and it's entirely volunteer driven. There aren't as many awesome mid tier bands as last year, but the undercard is stellar and the local selection is the best representation of Dallas/Denton with a great smattering of OK and Austin/Houston.
If anyone is interested in volunteering, the sign up online went live a few days ago, check it out.
Emoney serves more of a purpose than any of you, especially Nate, whose incessant, garbled ramblings are so mindless and pointless that I get depressed just seeing them.

I will be there, went last year. I did like last years line-up a little more, it;s still gonna be a great weekend. Kind of a warm-up for sxsw.
Here is the line-up if anyone hasn't seen it. Girls, Dum Dum Girls, Built to spill, devin the dude, designer drugs, Hood Internet and tons of Texas bands.

Tickets are only $50 for the four day festival for the rest of today and will go up thereafter. Jesus and Mary chain is now the main headliner. Gonna be a fun weekend, it's a like a mini sxsw the week before sxsw.

So far it's off to a good start, I would describe 35 Denton as 1/50 of the scale as sxsw. Lots of bands playing all over, and there were capacity issues already last night. I missed out on True Widow since it was one in one out and mostly just checked out bands all over.
I did watch all of the Rich Hands, and Designer drugs and Yeahdef was the party of the evening. Gonna be a fun weekend and warmup for sxsw. I just hope capacity issues aren't the norm all weekend.
