The Watch the Throne guess actually has some pretty good logic behind, but I don't think that it is the answer.
Why? Just curious as to why people think it isn't the answer? I know Jay and Kayne have both been there already, so that makes sense to say no return performance. But, that tour was huge last year and did amazingly well.
We're getting Watch the Throne. I think it's a done deal! Honestly, c'mon...
I hope so... As much as I have hated Kanye (and myself) for making me stand in that pit for 5 hours, I loved that Jay Z show and I wouldn't dare pass on the epicness of a Watch The Throne show. Jay Z could teach Kanye a thing or two about performing at festivals...
Funny you said that last part: The critics said that Jay-Z kept Kanye in line and that is why the show was so good. Kayne's brilliance w/out the ego.

ive seen them both live as well as wtt (not in festival settings) and they were all great. Kanye definitely seemed more in line at wtt but has in general since everyone started hating him a few years back. i think in general he has changed the way he acts. he wouldnt have ppl waiting till 4 am for a ln show if he came back this year. look at how good he was at coachella last year

That looks awesome. Hey, we are missing the hip-hop headliner this year.
The Jay/Kanye answer just fits too well for me though...I'm keeping my $ on it at this point.
And, wanted to add, Coach has Dre/Snoop. We got Jay/Kanye. Makes sense to me

its definitely possible with a weaker undercard. 08 had huge headliners too. obviously jay and kanye is way more expensive then just kanye but i would imagine pj is similar to rhcp and radiohead and that metallica is probably more expensive then at least one of those and jack johnson and wsp together would be more expensive then one phish show

I don't know if the line-up is unrealistic per se, Radiohead, Phish and RHCP likely pull on the low-end for A-List bands, and a modest bump in ticket prices could easily allow for all 4.
But I just don't see Kanye and Jay-Z repeating that tour. Kanye went on that epic twitter rant a few weeks and it really left me with the impression he was moving on to new projects/ideas and not waiting around for WTT to start up again. And the tour just seems too big and expensive to kick back up for one or two encore dates. I would LOVE to be wrong though.

my only worry is that they would wait for the last clue to name the headliner of the entire festival (sorry to everyone but they are bigger then radiohead without a doubt). idk enough about the history of clues though. when pj was a clue did they wait till the last clue that year for them?
