Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Ok I know there is probably another thread for this but I didn't see one. In several other threads there is usually talk about what Bonnaroo could do with the farm besides just roo. So lets try and put all these great ideas in one place and just maybe we will have a reason to visit the farm more than once a year. I know that would make me a happy camper.
So heres a couple of my ideas. Durring the warmer months, open up the What stage for aditional large scale shows. Like an outdoor amphitheatre. Aditional bleachers could be brought in behind the standing only area, (pit), and this would cater to both people who want to stand and sit. No more having to go to ATL to see the bigger names.
This idea would be a little more complicated but.. What about building a large indoor areana, (air conditioned), for shows all year round. It should have balcony seating and a floor pit area of course. Maybe something like the K-Town Civic Coliseum or nicer. And durring roo, its just more shade, air conditioned shade!
The farm has the room. It is just a mater of where to put it. But in either case, it would not only bring music in more often but it would open up jobs for the surrounding area. It would also be an aditional revinew souce for not just roo, but for Manchester as well.
Any other ideas like this out there? (Ya my spelling sucks I know)

I think it's a great venue and could be more utalized. Maybe a few other fests? Not living in Tenn or near Nashville what could it offer to make people drive from Nash to see a band?

It is about 90 minutes from my house in Nashville, I might go if they had a all day thing like the old Lollapalooza, or a HUGE act like U2 or something.

I'd suggest they host a country music fest and a metal/rock fest. One in May & one in Aug/Sept. Just makes sense, having the space and the new permanent structures.
I know they're already marketing it as Great Stage Park and trying to bring other events in. Living 10 hrs away I don't know what they've been booking.
For me the best possible thing they could do is come up with some additional shade options in centeroo
They had the warrior dash on it last year. Nashville already has a country music festival and it is usually around the exact same time as Bonnaroo. I have been thinking about doing my senior design project for my engineering degree on this issue. Have a solar farm on the farm that can be easily dismantled and set back up again when the grounds are not in use.

I completely agree with having more shows year round!! I live about 30 min away and for those of you who remember the great shows we used to see at Starwood, outdoor shows are the best. The Woods Amp is a really nice venue in north Nashville but not that big. They made the What stage permanent now, so why not use it. As far as traffic, i think the temp exit should be expanded to have a ramp or lane for itself. This may not help during Roo but it would for smaller events. One or two day events are great revenue for many and a lot less hassle for them than Roo so most might welcome it there. I know they did the warrior Dash thing there last year cause my ex went and i got a few pix of the farm in the off season, which was Awesome!! But the farm is a place of music and should have it there much more often. Besides if i have my ashes spread there when i die, i don't want to wait until Roo every year to hear some great tunes
