Since 2007 Inforoo members, friends & family, and others have gathered on Friday morning to meet, eat, drink, and be merry. Its a great way to start the first full day of Bonnaroo and put a face to avatars and screen names, visit with friends old and new.
When is Brunch? Parade 9:30 | Brunch 10:00
The Pre-Brunch Parade goers gather at 9:30 AM at Matts Tree, located in Access Camping directly across from the Clock Tower. At 9:45-ish, after a moment of remembrance, those gathered Parade loudly from Matts Tree, past the Arch, to Tent Only and Brunch, which starts around 10:00 AM.
Matt Sloan was a beloved member of this community. At the time of Matts death in June 2010, he was working to rebuild homes in New Orleans that had been destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. Matt believed that making New Orleans whole again would require not only renovation of damaged homes, but restoration of the total environment. It was his vision to establish a nonprofit dedicated to replanting trees and native landscaping that would positively impact the well-being of every returning resident. Read more at mattstrees.org/
Where is Brunch? How do I find it?
Brunch is at Camp Inforoo in Tent Only. The exact location of Camp isnt known until people get in and set up. It is normally inside the perimeter of the Tent Only section to discourage theft by passersby.
1. Look for the Inforoo Flag. Dont give up! Tent Only is not that big. 2. Meet others at Matts Tree and join the Parade 3. Wait for the Parade to pass by the Arch around 9:45 10:00 4. Yell Corncat and listen for Nom nom nom in response. 5. Trade phone numbers with other Inforoo members. We WILL send out a search party! 6. Follow @inforoobunny on Twitter. I will tweet the location/landmarks on Thursday morning
What should I bring?
That depends on how motivated you are, how far you have to travel, and your camping arrangements. Extra tables, shade, coolers, ice, and water are always needed.
Bring anything tasty to eat or drink; plates, cups, sporks. Some people make things ahead. Some people bring a culinary specialty or something from their part of the county (hushpuppies, muffalettas, sausage gravy, ham rolls). Those in RVs who have access to ovens & microwaves have better options. I bring Mimosas. (I thought about Sangria this year, but Dan told me not to fuss with tradition, haha.)
A generous donation to Matts Trees is always welcomed in lieu of the above.
If you are a day parker or in VIP and feel like a field trip, coffee would be so awesome! Starbucks has coffee to go, not sure if there is a Dunkin Donuts nearby, or a local coffee shop that offers something similar.
I dont know anyone. I will feel weird/out of place/like I dont belong.
When I organized the first Brunch I had not met one single Inforoo member, ever. I feel weird/out of place/like I dont belong rather often. But never at Brunch! I have met so many super cool people and made some true friends for life - because I was brave enough to start this thing that has become a tradition. If I can do it? You can do it. Trust me.
ps: BELGIANS. MUST. BRING. CHOCOLATE. It's a rule....
or more specifically where is TROO.......and also the biscuits and gravy
We saw him at the M83 show last week. He hasn't gotten a ticket. Yet. We did our best to convince him that he HAS to come to Roo and the Brunch.... so let's all convince him!

I'll do my best to be there with a mountain of solo cups. 10 AM might be a stretch after the trapped in the closet sing along, but I think I can handle it.

I've been been buying a box of popsicles everytime I go to the grocery store. Last night I bought two boxes of some dual flavored ones. I think I have around 80 popsicles so far and probably 50 ice pops. I'm just wondering how many popsicles I can fit in our dry ice cooler... I'll bring as many as I can fit! And if we don't go through all of them at brunch, I'll be gifting them on shakedown on Friday afternoon most likely because they don't stay completely frozen much after brunch.
If you see me at brunch please don't be shy about asking for a popsicle or do no harm swag (pins, stickers, bracelets, bumper stickers). I get so caught up in visiting that I can forget I have stuff to give away. I'll be the one with a Rootu on haha (mine will be black, red, and white and have do no harm pins all over it)
Sarah we can bring room in our cooler too! Nomnom on popsicles, wonder if I can fit in icecream O.O
The issue is the dry ice, which is expensive (last year we spent about $40 on dry ice). Regular ice won't keep them frozen and dry ice won't keep them frozen forever. Last year the popsicles left over from brunch only stayed frozen solid until Friday afternoon... and that was after packing them up Thursday morning. Since we're going in on Wednesday I'm kinda concerned about them keeping til Brunch. I'm hoping that keeping that particular cooler somewhere in the RV will help. I do plan on bringing as many unfrozen ice pops as will fit in the freezer in the RV and hope it works well enough to freeze them so we'll have ice pops all weekend. I guess if they start thawing and the freezer in the RV works I can always put the popsicles in there Friday morning and take them out right before brunch.
Still have a few left. Probably going to tweak them in the am a bit to see if they can find homes. The latest page on Mayo's awesome Roootu thread has the pics of what is left for FREE brunch tu's.

troo told me he hasn't decided if he is coming this year. I put the hard sell on him ;-) so hopefully he will snag a ticket last minute. He said he will bring the famous biscuits and gravy if he makes it.
I have one of the mini keggers of Newcastle that I bought for the Stone Door camping expedition a few weeks ago. It never got tapped due to the alcohol vs. ranger battle. I'm planning to bring it if you all still think it will be good, and if you all think that I will be allowed in with it.
I think if it were put into a cooler with ice on Thursday night it would be plenty cold enough. But would it still be good?
