It's happening April 20-21 this year. And email went out to students mentioning there would be announcements today and next Tuesday regarding the fest. Let's hope it's another good one.

They got the date wrong in the statement. Wednesday is the 22nd. College kids...

The lineup is usually pretty solid, but I've heard the crowd is mostly a bunch of frat/sorority types largely ignoring the music and getting sloppy drunk.
Over the years, I've seen some great sets from acts like Phoenix (2005 and 2010), Phantom Planet, Okkervil River, Spoon, Feist, Cake, NERD, and Q-Tip. I have an uncanny ability to tune out drunk rowdy college kids-- especially after a few beers (which we can bring ourselves).
And when we were waiting for The Flaming Lips, some girl turned to HGH and said "Who is that weird guy on stage?" HGH had to inform her it was WAYNE COYNE. Seriously?? Why was she even there? OH, I know because tickets were $15 and she could drink as much as she wanted!
The artists are up on the site. The bill is topped by Wiz Khalifa and Mutemath. Last year was National and Public Enemy. At least they have Sleigh Bells.

DJ wick-it is pretty good saw him with afroman, that alone might sell me on something to do during spring. Wiz Khalifa can bite me that set last year was terrible. He would wait to play Black and Yellow until last so crowd didn't disappear on him.
Oh God, i'm glad we sat in the lobby. That sounded horrible. (And we still got front row for MMJ )
I stood in the front thru the whole show just so I could get front row for MMJ. Horrible doesn't even begin to describe it. Plus it was hilarious to see the ppl that were obviously there for him going crazy while the rest of us were cracking up at how awful the music was.
