Are there any further announcements to come? There are still some discussions that are being had that I’m trying to finalize. One of them I can’t announce, but he rarely performs in public these days. I’m not sure what he’s going to do; he might just play acoustic piano. But we can go there, if that’s what he wants to do. The first year we had Van Dyke Parks, and you know, Van Dyke was one of the early experimenters with the Moog, back in the 1960s, and he was a close friend of Bob’s, but when he came to Moogfest, he just played his classic tunes sitting at the piano. It was like a somewhat eccentric look back on 100 years of American music, and it was just great. We feel like most of our focus needs to be on that kind of electronica, but not all of it.

Bowie.
That's not funny.
I agree the the whole interview is interesting. He makes it seem like they are pumping up the experience aspect of the festival this year. Makes me wonder about what all that means and if the workshops are going to be even more spectacular this year (and maybe I'll actually make it to one )
His name has been popping up lately here and there, I did have a back-of-my-head feeling about him before we got additions, but really wasn't expecting it. I regret missing Big Ears the year he was there, and this would be excellent... if he is announced for Saturday, I will be buying a ticket for that day, there's just no two ways about it.
It makes sense, actually. Does anyone remember the Moogfest update about the remix album he is doing? They cited a few Moogfest artists were on it (past and present) but I had this strange feeling.
Plus, he is "touring", of sorts, playing ATP, in NYC, the month before and the Philip Glass Festival, in Richmond, in October. Moogfest would be a great bookend.
My money is on PG.

I actually think it's Philip Glass. I dunno why, I just have this funny feeling.
That was my first thought too... however, hasn't he played out a fair amount of times over the last couple of years (and AC mentioned that this artist doesn't play very often). I would love it to be true. Philip Glass has been one of my favorite musicians since I was in high school...
I finally met him, 18 years ago I'm nearly fainting in this picture.
