For the past couple of years I have noticed an increasing trend whereas the person at the gate claims they are out of booklets. This really is stupid one time they claimed we could get mor ein Centeroo I went immediatly there after setup and was told they were "out". Another year I was told they were bringing more from Centeroo. Last year they told us only one booklet per car. Now some of u scan look around and find some somebody dropped on the ground etc. But really it makes no sense there are what 4 possible entrance's and or exits from Bonnaroo right? Brushy Branch the back Brushy Branch and The Interstate and V.I.P. correct why are they not printing enough or even having them where they should be issued. I am a vet and know my way around and generally have an idea of where I am going heading etc. However the books are a nice souvenier and are vital to peopel who have never been. Sometimes there are things in there people would miss. Such as advertisments from vendors etc. And not everyone has a smartphone or can even keep one powered up all weekend for the app happy crowd (and for that bitch who screamed into that phone in 06 all during Tom Petty lots of bad karma sometimes the phones just need to be turned OFF) or remembers to print one. Hell my printer is dead right now because I am getting Ringo Starr tickets this weekend so said screw the ink! This really needs to be addressed. I mean you can sometimes look around and spot one on the ground and quite a bit of the time find one in pristine condition! However we should all get one they have never ran out of bracelets to my knowledge at the gates. But something like this we should hold a gripe over. They can keep up with trash bags etc. because that saves them money but what about our booklets man?

Dude I have been preaching about this for years! Print as many books as tickets sold/made available and WHAM! No Problem. Or better yet, SEND THE BOOKLET WITH THE DANG TICKETS!

I dont know how much earlier I could have gotten in line last year Krunchykat and Scrog and Sugarhighme all got in line near or in one case I was riding in a car with them at 11:30 pm Wednesday Night and by the time we got to the gate it was daylight on Thursday Morning there is no reason to ration them at that time! Thousands of cars were still behind us in line they should have had plenty!

On Thursday normally all of the Pods have extras along with the information tent in Centeroo. They always run out eventually. This might be unethical but I normally pick-up an extra from them just in case.

that's where the extras go! bacon you ass I will steal yours at brunch! what if I am alking around like a damn wook usually i get quacked up but not so bad I cannot read (except for that time in 05 at my first roo where I wandered around for hours in RV and had many adventures and could not read along with everyone I encountered) i wound up finally bribing a sheriffs deputy on a 4 wheeler to take me to church! and I said it like that I was camped near the church. i handed him a twenty and he said hop on! all else had failed at that point makes me skeptical of being the navigator for pondos army but i was still on a learning curve then!

Well in my defense I normally wind up losing my original one so I'm sure it gets ground scored and recycled into the mix
that is quote worthy I hereby absolve you of all crimes in this life and previous ones! karma wise from now on if you need a booklet it will mysteriously appear and when you get your bearings and no longer need it you will loose it for next person!

I printed my schedule out and had an agenda last year(not that I followed it too well) but a map would've been nice. I wondered around for an hour trying to find which stage. And since I'm a guy I refuse to ask for directions. And I could see I wasn't alone in my lostness
Of the 7 times I have been, I think I have gotten a book at the gate maybe 3 times. Possibly less. It seems like an easy problem to fix, but I don't think they are that concerned or they would have done it already.
Yeah our car only got one booklet last year. But I was able to get one and a couple others for some of my crew midday Friday at an info kiosk in Centeroo. No problem.

I remember somebody saying they had a bunch of books in the media tents. Why? Does this make any sense? Trust me, they CHARGED us ticket payers for that book in our ticket fees (No offense to the media, been there and done that myself. Wrote for a paper for 2 years).

Yeah one per book yet they want us to car pool this implies that people should take more cars to get their just due's on books! If you car pool you are consolidating groups that probably have different agendas what with the weekends choose your own adventure format! I am not backing down on my position on this Catch 22

I hope this shortage isn't due to me asking for extra copies each time I enter the farm. I apologize Lono. I'll bring you back '03-'11.
Eh I am a newb I know I am good for when I started in 2005-2008? that was a hazy year and I lost my goddamn ticket to that year! but after that I know there are "holes" in my collection!

I was just thinking of this yesterday. I think my plan is going to print schedules out at work and laminate them. That way in case the toll booth runs out, my pod runs out and the info desks that I go to run out, I won't rely on a ground score for one.

^ Someone in our group used to print each day's schedule back-to-back on laminated cards attached to retractable zip cords (like a tape measure) which you clipped on yr belt loop. Those fuckkers were handy. Ya never had to dig through yr pockets or backpack, it was all there hanging from yr waist.
The coolest idea I ever saw, though, was some guys who had the schedule printed upside-down on their T-shirts so all they had to do was look down at their belly to know where to head.
last year i emailed roo and asked if i could pay for a book. the answer of course was no, but i still do not understand why roo would not want to make some money off the books. it seems like a winner to me.

That is brilliant...one T per day!
Thinking back to years past, make it two T's per day, larger font....

Jerks.
I have thought of doing this but I never get around to it. I have even thought about color coordinating to show what shows my friends are planning aon attending so that we can meet up at different show. Maybe this year.
And wow, you're like a walking, talking infomercial to turn people away from Pearl Jam and Ohio State, aren't you? Before you started posting here I quite liked Pearl Jam and was indifferent towards OSU, now I find myself wishing that Eddie Vedder falls down a mine shaft or that Columbus is infested with locusts
