I dont know if you can order them online, but I got the inline filter from my buddy in the army. It will clean out literally any water you can find. I wouldn't test it on the rivers that run from the porta-potties, but I didn't taste any sulpher last year using one.
Camelbak makes a filter that just connects to the water line. Really sad that I have lived here almost all of my life and still can't stand it. On the bright side it is no where near the worst I have been around.
They are called Elixir and the green kind actually tastes pretty good. It takes 4 tabs to make 100oz and you get 12 tabs to a tube.
The only thing... just like any other potassium/sodium supplement, you CAN OD ON IT! Sounds weird, but totally true. We found that we drank way way way too much water to do the full 4 tabs every time we filled up, so we just started with one pack full of the full strength and then added one tab at each fill up for the rest of the day to cover the taste and gently recharge the electrolytes.
Oh, and it makes the water kinda fizzy, I love that.

I've never had anything damage my camelbak (other than a yellow stain from lemonade that sat inside it for a year) and I've had everything from rum and coke, to Gatorade, fruit punch... Literally every drink you could want to put in one...
move to Pennsylvania, drink sulfer-rich water every day, not notice it anymore, and need no filter.
Same in the southeastern corner my friend except we get the best water the delaware riva has to offer. When I go on trips out of state with friends not from philly or pa for that matter every one always complains about the wuter...but I can never tell..Am I lucky ..not sure

This is so true be careful any one ever hear of terry schiavo she od'd on pottassium
Though not directly water, still deals with hydration: don't usually drink the stuff but Gatorade can be a lifesaver at Bonnaroo - your body craves salt/sugar/secondary compound to process so it doesn't admittedly flush out of your system (especially if you are drinking). Snacks and water/hydration go together, I'm tellin ya

The first year I went to roo I was warned about the water. I was drinking from a nalgene bottle and as long as I didn't inhale I wouldn't smell the sulfur and the taste didn't bother me. In 07 I graduated to a camelbak and never ever tasted the water, it seemed fine until it got warm. But last year....oh man that was awful. It wasn't nearly as cold and it had a bad taste, so I definitely think I will be looking into these camelback tabs! Thanks for the heads up!
Also, Terri Schiavo didn't od on potassium, she had a potassium deficiency which caused the brain damage.

Thansk purplefuzzystuff!! I was under that assumption for like the last 10 years my health teacher in college told my class she died from an eating disorder where she ate very little food and basically only ate bananas.

i don't get it, sulphur was a problem the first few years i went, but ever since coleman sponsored the purifiers i've had no problems whatsoever... Before that tho, it was flavored powder in every water bottle fill-up

I haven't been to roo in a few years... I know the water in centeroo has always been filtered, but are they now filtering the trough water in the campsites?
