this will be my last post in this thread cause im obviously ruffling feathers and thats not my intention

continue waiting. when my thread is done for the year I will have no problem leaving then. I have ran it for years and plan on doing so until the schedule comes out.

after that you can go ahead and call me a lady flower like the rest and celebrate your supposed victory in life.

And I'm not going anywhere. I'm in the mindset that I need to walk away for awhile. I completely understand why they did what they did.

I can respect that. Does it suck? Sure. It sucks and I'm gonna miss each and everyone of them.
But this board was around before and it'll be around after. It'll just take awhile to rebound and find a groove.

And before I forget: Mods, you do a great job around here keeping stuff in check.

I know I don't know anyone here on a personal level, which i hope to change this summer, and haven't built the online/offline relationships with Zapp, Juggs, Flanzo, or AWATD as some of you have, but today was just a really really crazy ordeal. I enjoy coming to this message board and reading what everyone here has to say. It's gotten to a point that when a band shows up on the lineup that I know certain members of the board were hoping for, I genuinely feel happy and excited for them. All four of those members had great personalities and I will miss reading what they have to say. Hopefully some of them decide to come back.

What I don't understand is this

A good bit of the discussion involved all this tyranny and whatnot going on by the mods, but they told us they made a mistake, owned up to it, and unbanned Bacon. That still wasn't good enough?

I am pretty sure that was not what this particular tiff was actually about.

A mistake is different from an accident.

Honestly I think in the circumstances of a heated argument last night Bacons post about the mods only banning people to show who was in charge was unfortunate. I also think it would have passed and he would have been reinstated without the mass protest that was organized on his behalf. In fact though Bacon does not like me at all, I would have said something had it stayed in effect past lunch today. I think most of what has happened since this has been resolved is pure foolishness, and been done pretty quickly. At the end of the day everyone on here has common ground and we should work harder to find it.

Look, we all hate drama. This sucks.

Every one of the guys was a member of something we all love.
Every one of them brings a different "flavor" to this board.
Every one of them at one point made me laugh, or think, or roll my eyes, and/or want to discover/enjoy/purchase/share new music.

They're family. And sometimes family gets on your last damn nerve. That's just what family does.

I'm gonna miss every single one of 'em. Zapp, man...he's a walking encyclopedia of music. I discovered more bands based on his "Now Playing" posts. And his photography? I'm honored to have some of his prints framed and hanging on my walls. He's good people and will be sorely missed.

Juggs, AWATD, S2, FlanzO, Karosko, and the others (really, Karosko? damn, dude, we were just with you this time last week!) - all of 'em share our common passion: music. And passionate people can make emotion-driven decisions. Maybe a hiatus will do some good...and in time, things will be back on an even keel. Hopefully that will happen; hopefully that day comes sooner than later.

So even if I disagree with your posts, your decisions, your music taste, your friends, your avatar, or whatever else we critique each other about - whether you're a member or a mod - YOU are uniquely awesome in some way. You make this board what it is & I'm glad you're here.

Now it's time for a stiff drink or four. Cheers.
