Wow. I guess this makes sense. This was basically just a My Morning Jacket show with the added expenses of higher production costs and more expensive openers. I was personally hoping to grab a cheap ticket on Craigslist a day or two before, because there was never any chance this thing would come close to selling out
Hopefully this means Divine Fits book something else in Nashville that weekend. That would be a good time to visit the 'rents and knock out a possible Moogfest conflict.

Yeah, the concert landscape is way too crowded right now in the Nashville area for this show to have ever worked. I get what they were trying to do, keeping it mostly to Nashville based acts, but they needed either one more headliner or a more diverse undercard to compete. With Live on the Green and Musician's Corner bringing in huge names for free, you've got to step it up to get people to pay.
Word is they had only sold 1,600 of a possible 20,000. Talk about a bad promotions job...
EDIT: To make it worse, it sounds like KoL wanted to "jump in and save the day," but couldn't make it work out. Sad when your festival needs KoL to bail you out.
