What a disappointing show, overall... no matches on the show were as good as Taker/HHH from last year (this one was great, but it might as well have not even been a hell in a cell... HBK was great, but there was a LOT of smoke and mirrors, the crowd really helped this one) , Jericho/Punk was sabotaged by the out of nowhere stip, Rock was slow as hell, tonight. But it was still a very good match... everything else was decnt to awful. The backstage segments were terrible... I really don't know how much better this year was than any other year people bitch about...
I really expected an all time classic show. It definitely was not that... I'm not alone in these opinions, either... its pretty much the general consensus of every wrestling journalist or fan I've heard from since last night. Somehow, when WWE has a card that looks this good on paper, they manage to screw it up. The Daniel ;ryan/Sheamus getting the shaft two years in a row is a joke and a slap in the face to anyone who likes wrestling.
Match of the night: Taker/Trips, by far Followed by Rock/Cena.

I heard that Daniel Bryan was a little banged up before the bout, thus the quick match. it also sets up AJ leaving him. WWW.wrestleview.com might have more about that in the coming days. Big news is that "possibly" Brock Lesnar will be on RAW tonight!
Mania was decent. Agreed with a lot that was said (The Hell in the Cell match was pretty good with the Sweet Chin Music and the Pedigree and Taker kicking out) and I really liked the pace and timing of the Jericho/Punk match. A B- over all.
side note: this came from wrestleview.com on why The Rock is back wrestling again...
One of the main reasons for Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson returning to pro wrestling with WWE is he changed his management team. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that his old team wanted him to get away from wrestling and his Rock persona. His new team is headed by his ex-wife Dany Garcia and Howard Altman. Garcia gave up her business in Miami to become full-time manager and CEO of Team Rock.
