Haven't seen anyone talking about this. Not a super intense lineup, but for $99, you get to see some amazing musicians, and hang out at a water-park all weekend!
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.
A tip to everyone: Montage Mountain is the worst place to see a music festival. It is also a ski resort so just imagine having to walk across giant hills to get to every stage. I saw a handful of Warped Tours there when I was like 12-14 and the two main stages were on opposite sides of the mtn so you have to literally walk up a mountain to get from one stage to the next.
Extra trip: don't let the office fool you, Scranton is the worst
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
Well that's just how it was set up when I went last which was in 2007, and even then my band played a small stage at the festival so I didnt really get to see many bands, but I'm pretty sure they had the same setup. The resort came under new ownership but I think the same people still handle the pavilion where the music is, and no matter what its always gonna be on a mountain, so their choices are limited.
I would still see a fest there if the lineup was good enough, it's literally right up the street from the movie theatre I work at when I'm home, but this lineup doesn't do it for me. Allmans are great and Warren Haynes is always a good time but other than that, this fest just isn't worth it for me.

i can't wait for this fest. zac brown band isn't my cup of tea but there is plenty of other bands there to make it a good fest. also i'm a mt. jam vet so i have no problem camping on a hill.

as long as i don't land on the west coast for my next contract ill be here... home is about an hour south so its an easy trip. i haven't been to a festival here but i've seen a ton of shows... is it really that hard to navigate the mountain top??? i wouldn't call it old all good hard ... parking is a pain but at least they run a bus. patience and a little karma go a long way, i love this venue

Holy quack! This is awesome! This is definitely going on my watch list, gonna have some big decisions on what july/august fests to go to when I get home from roo.
If you live in the NE, I highly recommend going to this.
These will likely be some of the last Allman Brothers shows (before it turns into Allman Family Band). Gregg was falling apart at Wanee and he may be on the way out. He might not even make it till August.
