hey guys, I'm going to be leaving for my first ever trip to 'roo out of Philadelphia and i was just wondering what time i should leave on the 6th to get down and get ready to move in. its about a 13 hour drive, but i think i might awl-mart it the night before so I'm curious as to what i should do. thanks!
Yo man leaving from the same area actually. Not sure exactly what time you are planning on getting there but i remember my friends and i leaving at midnight (12 in the morning) on the wednesday. We ended up getting there fairly early, got to not only stop at walmart for supplies but stop and get lunch as well. Then jumped in line and it wasn't that bad of a wait. then again my adrenaline was kicking in real hard when i realized i was almost inside so i wasn't really worried about waiting.
I live four hours north of Philly, leave after rush hour on Tuesday night (6:30 EST) and arrive late morning Wednesday (about 10:30 CST). I go to Walmart, the packy, etc and then chill out for a few hours until the gate opens. When exactly are you looking to be getting to Walmart or getting in line?
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

Leaving from philly too, last year we left around 4pm on Wednesday and got in line at around 6am Thursday. Planning on leaving at the same time this year since our wait/camping spot last year was pretty sweet.
I'm from Philly, and in past years I have left around 5 PM EST. However, I drive to my cousin's house in Maryland to pick him up and chill for a bit, so we don't end up leaving until 11 PM EST usually but we drive straight to Manchester, stopping for bathroom breaks and gas and whatnot, and when we get around Knoxville we stop at a Waffle House for some breakfast. We always end up in like around 9:30-10:00 am CST. so I'd say you would be totally fine leaving around 7 or 8 PM EST or so and still have time to go to Wal Mart and all. Good luck to you on your first roo! Mine was in 09 and it was such a great experience
