I'm a big planner when it comes to my Bonnaroo trips, but this years a little different for me with the size of my group. After three trips down to the farm, I could head down to with my wife and myself and not have to think twice about what's needed, have it down pat. However this year I have a much larger group and with 60 days left (!!!!) I'm starting to plan our food stock, and just seeing if anyone has any "best practices" pertaining to food purchases for a group of 8.
My first year I definitely overestimated, and each year have been able to pack less and less to fit what I actually need (plus I love the variety of meats on sticks for sale from vendors ). Seeing how we're splitting costs with the group, I'd like to not overdo it... Still debating if we are going to do any cooking or if we'll just go sandwich, pasta salad, cold style option foods... I realize this is a vague request with many factors, but just looking for any tips for something you were able to buy bulk to feed a group that worked well in the past!
I'm 100% sure I can figure this out on my own, but I'm bored working some OT, and I always value Inforoo input!
I was lying in a burned out basement With the full moon in my eyes. I was hoping for replacement When the sun burst thru the sky. There was a band playing in my head And I felt like getting high.
Over the years, we paired it back to good brunch foods... fresh sliced fruit, berries, grapes, gourmet cheeses & crackers, cured meats & condiments. Mid-morning's the time of day where everyone is at camp, semi-sober & in need of recuperation. We pack a butane burner and a couple pans and do omelettes to order with crimini mushrooms, spinach, gruyere. Hash Browns, ham, bacon. The rest of the day people fend for themselves with vendors.

I'm in the same boat as Payment, planning for 8. Was mostly thinking lots of fruit, hot dogs, sausage and maybe hamburgers for lunch/brunch (I have a tailgate grill) and grilled cheese fixings and bagged snacks.
Never RVd before, how is cleaning pans for omelettes and what not? You do that in the RV or at a wash station?
Have done Roo with 8-10 peeps for 3 years. We bring a grill - use it for hot dogs, hamburgers turned out to be a bloody mess, the cooler water got into to the pre-made patties, it wasn't pretty. granola bars PB&J - super easy and delicious - just be careful not to crush the bread fresh fruit - apples and oranges cause they keep pretty good and don't bruise too easily bags of baby carrots tons of gatorade mix saltine's and blocks of cheddar cheese cans of soup - minestrone that have the pop top lid canned fruit
basically we keep it real simple and we all grill together for dinner. it's good to recharge the batteries for the night shows and hot dogs are easy.
