If we skipped the shpongle late night show after Primus thursday night and drove straight home to drop off your lady, and then headed directly to Austin without dicking around (swapping out driving duties every time we stop to piss and/or get gas), we could make it in time for Ssion.
Just wanted to share, COS is giving away "a $200 iTunes or Amazon.com gift certificate and a pair of passes to the music mecca that is Austin’s Fun Fun Fun Fest." Contest started today and ends on Wednesday so good luck.
So I think we decided to fly instead of making that long drive. -Leave work early on Wednesday to drive to ATL and see Primus 3D! -Rest and then drive back to Mobile drop some folks off -Leave for Nola around 5pm thursday to see King Tuff & Intelligence at One Eyed Jacks! -Crash at a friend's place thursday night -Jump on a plane first thing in the morning to head to Austin and have our friend in Austin pick us up. -Rage the quack out of FFF7 -Jump on plane to Nola monday -drive to Mobile and pass out -back to work tuesday

Does anyone still need a ticket?
I have an extra GA I'd like to hook someone up with. I'd pretty much accept anything if it'll help an Inforooer out, but I thought like $120 would be a fair price? I think that's a good enough discount to bless me with some karma without totally taking a bath.
My friend in Austin that we are staying with needs a ticket, but he is kind of broke right now. If you can't get rid of it before the fest send me your digits and we'll get up with you when we arrive to buy your spare ticket for him.
Log into the site. It said mine were just shipped on tuesday. Hopefully they'll get here today. They just started shipping them last week I think and are doing it in stages. I would be absolutely delighted if they shipped that fanny pack with the bracelet, so I can dork that shiz out during voodoo too.

I just got my wristband Monday. Early bird was $120 which is $200 cheaper than PIP. Last year the free beer selection did not include newcastle so I will just spend my money on that all weekend.
Of course they had to conflict the addition of the "special preformance featuring the Black Lips" with Tomahawk. I guess I'll just catch all of Tomahawk at Voodoo, and if it appears they are playing the exact same setlist at FFF, I might make my way over for some Black Lips. You would think they would have took Baroness' slot and shifted some of the black stage acts up later on friday.

I forgot to poke my head in this thread and plug my new favorite local band here in LA is on the FFF lineup!!!!
Please everyone who is going to this fest, if you have no other conflicts, consider checking out Old Man Markley!!!! They are a bluegrass/punk fusion. Very unique sound and their music is down right knee slappin' FUN.
edit: They are playing Beerland with Larry and His Flask (also great folk punk music) on Saturday night.

Just a few short days until I get to drink unlimited free beer and listen to a crazy eclectic lineup while wearing a chrome fannypack. Hooray for living well.
