Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I'm not going to fun fun fun, but I have to drop in and recommend you all check out Trust. They were absolutely amazing at Moogfest.
Edit: the video is not from Moogfest. all the ones I see from there aren't great quality.
There's a really good chance (well, probably not that good since I'll probably be drunk) that my Saturday late night will consist of Black Moth Super Rainbow > Tanlines (DJ Set) > Trust > King Tuff.
That's pretty crazy for being basically freebies thrown in on top of the normal lineup.
Yo Soy JBoy, I would advise catching Trust at the fest and seeing The Intelligence late night instead (b/c The Intelligence, like King Tuff, are not playing the fest and they are awesome):

Sometimes I think I'm sort of up on music... and then something like FFF Fest and the good people of Inforoo and the Coachella message boards remind me: I am but a n00b.

Trust was one of my favorite bands at SXSW this year. They are very much like Crystal Castles in sound, but it's a male singer (Robert Alfons), a girl drummer and a guy running the keyboard. It will be a dance party and the late night show would be my pick of where to see them. I will probably end up seeing them 4 times this year since they play with The Faint in Dallas.
I still need to do more band research and am running out of time. Worst case I will walk around and find new things. I just hope I don't have the same ankle issues at ACL that made it hard to walk after two days.
What a great weekend!!! Saw so much great stuff. Tomahawk, F*cked Up, Hannibal Buress, and Bosnian Rains were my highlights. I tried to log into the forum over the weekend with my phone to see if anyone cared to meet up. However, every time I entered my login and password and pushed enter, I would just end up at the home page as if I had never tried. Oh well...great weekend!!!
Thanks for the ticket Yo Soy JBoy. My friend used it poorly by missing some of the best sets and caused us to be late to the festival friday and saturday, but I'm glad he and/or his gf drove because we got way too wasted to drive.
Sets I saw (many are obviously partial...bounced around a good bit): Thursday: Superchunk @ Mohawk (only stayed for a few songs) Ssion @ Club Deville (epic dance party) Dwarves @ Red 7 (most punk show of the weekend...non-stop stage diving, crowd surfing, people climbing poles, hanging from the rafters and jumping into the crowd)
Friday: Torche > Dwarves > Diamond Rings > Sharon Van Etten > Penguin Prison > Napalm Death > Astronautilis > Converge > Tomahawk > The Black Lips > Against Me > Santigold > Bun B > X > Run DMC > Dillion Francis late nite: Surfer Blood @ Mohawk Peelander Z @ Parish (I'm still pissed that I missed Fidlar, but it was not my fault)
Saturday: Why? > The Riverboat Gamblers > OFF! > some David Cross > Seaweed > Real Estate > Youth of Today > Wavves > The Sword > Refused late nite: Black Moth Super Rainbow @ Mohawk Intelligence & King Tuff @ Red 7 (THE late nite event of the weekend) (I'm still pissed that I missed Red Fang and Braid...again not my fault)
Sunday: Bleached > Nicky Da B > La Dispute > Valient Thorr > Japandroids > Trust > Deerhoof > Titus Andronicus > Between the Buried and Me > Omar Rodriguez Lopez > Trail of the Dead > Black Angels > De La Soul > quacked Up > Turbonegro > Etienne De Crecy > Edward Sharpe > Black Moth Super Rainbow
Favorite sets of fest: (1) Refused (2) The Sword (3) Converge (4) Between the Buried and Me (5) The Black Angels (6) The Riverboat Gamblers (best discovery of the weekend) (7) Tomahawk (8) Deerhoof (9) Valient Thorr (10) De La Soul

I love/hate you.
Pretty sure EAP classifies almost all of these bands as "boy music." When I asked her if she saw Refused, she said no because they're "boy music." Apparently boy music="aggro."
Ha...I was way up front for Converge, The Sword, and Tomahawk (anywhere from 1-4 people in front of me depending on how crazy the crowd was). I had to get the fuck out of there before Refused because I was exhausted after The Sword and I knew it was going to get crazy based on the Refused Atlanta show. And I was a little late showing up to BTBAM so I could only get about 15 people back. The Sword had the most crowd surfing.
i had a great time, but i cannot tell a lie i was beat from moog. i did not take advantage like i should have, but i still saw some great music. this was my 3rd fff and i am getting spoiled by these tiny fests and am starting to think i will skip larger fests for ones more like this one.
and kyle is right, this fest was filled with boy music that was really the best bang for your buck if you are into that stuff.
top five shows: -trust -tanlines -the head and the heart -the octopus project -KREAYSHAWN (don't hate)

I definitely had fun this year, but I have been blown away with so many shows in the past two months that I've been spoiled rotten.
There were a few shows I wanted to catch that I missed like Octopus Project and The Dwarves, but it is setup so easy that getting around takes 10 minutes or so.
I was able to sneak in my 60d with a 50mm f1.8 and got some good pictures. About to start uploading them online.
My top 3.
Trust.
Explosions in The Sky
Titus Andronicus
Also Trust during the day was great but shorter. They got an hour on their late night set with 2 new songs and a 2 song encore with the crowd chanting. Fun fun fun fest had the better system though. They also work better in the dark.

Here is my funfunfunfest album. It's about 300 photos. I was able to sneak in my Canon 60d with f1.8 50mm lens on Saturday and Sunday, but took these with an assortment of cameras.
I like how Paul De Revere reiterated the same question that I asked on the Graham Williams AMA recently concerning the addition of King Diamond and Venom. If those two get added next year, I am going again. If Allin moves, I will book a hotel downtown.
