OK- I know no one has posted here or if its even ok to do so, but here it goes. Looking to add another festival to my summer. I would like a festival similar to Roo; Camping, weekend long, filled with acts of different varieties. What I would like different from Roo: Maybe less people, lower ticket prices (that's all I really don't like about Roo, haha). I would want it to be after Roo weekend, still in the southeast (no more than 10 hours driving from North Ga). Blackwater Fest looked straight last year, but I'm not sure if they are doing it this or next year. Any suggestions? Would like to hear people opinions that went to other fests, if possible. Or if you have one on your mind that you always wanted to go to that has a good lineup year after year.
We're heading to Floyd Fest in Floyd VA. Looks like it would be around 6 hours drive (which is the same as it is for us in NC). Looks to be a bit more mellow than Roo but still some fun going on with Galactic, Ozomatli, DBT, etc. No hard rock or metal. We're taking the kids so it will be a different experience than Roo for us.
