I brought a generator in 2010 to roo in general camping and was wondering if it was still ok. Nobody seemed to mind being it was a very small very quiet Honda. Anybody see any problem with this? Neighbors didnt mind, security didnt mind any rules agaisnt it? I bring my laptop a big stereo strobe and black lights to party at night and coffe pot phone charger fans ect. And anybody who needs phone charged or coffe all day is more then welcome by the way
I think that question you linked is where she is more referring to generators in RV. The question below is asking about one in the tent area. Then again, just because it's not allowed doesn't mean it can't be brought in with the proper precautions.
I looked in the FAQ's and info and can't find anything on the tent / car camping area.
I remember seeing people in VIP tent camping having small generators in years past. I would say they are fine with that size generator.
We are also going to the FireFly Festival in Dover, DE and that state no generators in the tent / car camping area. I'm sure some will bring them since it will be the middle of July.
They said in the rules that you can bring gasoline only if you have a generator, which I take to mean that gas powered generators are allowed. That said, taking your neighbors into consideration regarding the exhaust from it and the noise would be a good idea. I know Honda generators are the quietest around, but if that thing runs 24/7 your neighbors could get cranky.

I found that the nice constant hum coming from a relatively nearby generator on overnight on every night at Sasquatch was a real positive in drowning out all of the obnoxiousedly loud individuals who seemingly party all night after festival hours and do not wake up until sub headliners the following day if they even ever wake up?
I don't run it 24/7 I shut down when it's bed time and if anybody complained I would shut down if I couldn't fix the problem I do not want cranky neighbors I try to be very considerate of other people i don't want anybody to have a bad time

All I know is if you were next to me, I wouldn't be overjoyed. Just be aware of your fumes and sound level. By 9 am, most people aren't asleep anymore but not too many would be thrilled with the noise. Ask around before just cranking it up the first time. Like I said, I wouldn't be overjoyed being next to a roaring generator but it wouldn't mind me if you asked before turning it on.....or offered me coffee ;D
