Long time creeper on the posts. First timer for Bonnaroo. I've been looking for the answer to this question, direct me elsewhere I'd there is another board for me please, but I have to be in Virginia the day after Bonnaroo... Is it bad getting out of the GA campgrounds? I'm planning on having a late flight out of Nashville but I want to make sure I have enough time.
My friends and I are driving from Texas for the festival, and they are staying in Nashville after so the plan was to drop me off at the airport.

I pack up Sunday morning, then stay as long as necessary to see who I want to see, then am ready to drive out. I will be back at work Monday....well, sorta...
By 10 or 11 Sunday morning, you can usually get out easily.
^^^^This. First thing I do when I wake up Sunday is crack open a couple of beers and break down everything. When you are ready to go you just start the car and drive. Allows you to enjoy your last day there and not stress over breaking everything down. I only live 30 minutes away though so leaving right after the headliner isn't a problem for me. This method may not work for people traveling further.
I've left on Monday and Sunday before. Monday was much easier getting out, and the campground is a blast on Sunday night. At least in 2010 in BFE it was. I regretted leaving Sunday last year. I was lying in bed Sunday night thinking about all the people still on the farm. Not fun.
Both years I've been I planned on leaving Sunday night. Each year I lucked out with a spot near the edge of a camp and was able to drive out Sunday without any trouble.
There was a bit of a line leaving but nothing bad.
Spent Sunday morning packing up before seeing the last day of shows. Then hop in the car and start the trek home.
It's always fun to see how far away from Roo you notice other Roosters on the highway. We're easy to spot in dust covered cars. Which is important to consider if you DON'T want people knowing where you came from.

This will be my first year staying until Monday. I have always headed out Sunday, I honestly can't wait to have a great Sunday night and a nice, air conditioned drive home on Monday morning without almost falling asleep (most likely after some Cracker Barrel ;D). That is my only problem with leaving Sunday night; by the time Roo is over, all of your energy is gone and last year I honestly scared myself at how easily I almost passed out at the wheel, had to pull over to take a quick nap. Now, I'm here till they tell me I have to leave.
