I went to this two years ago for a day and had a good time. This lineup is pretty rough though. I think I'm going to be in Portland at the time so might go if one day has some of the better names:
I know. Even the poster is ugly. When I went I saw in one day Atlas Sound, Health, Edward Sharpe, The Decemberists, Bob Dylan, and The Raveonettes; so I was expecting something really nice this year. Yikes.
And don't get me wrong, there's some really good stuff in that lineup. I'd be pumped for M83, AWOLNATION, M Ward, Passion Pit, Blitzen Trapper, Wanda Jackson and The Dusty 45's, Greenhornes, Heartless Bastards, etc).
But that first line.............I can only imagine the planning sessions.
"Alright guys, let's do this. What if we get Skrillex, Jane's Addiction, and Mac Miller to headline the fest?"
"Eh, it still feels like its missing that ONE big act, ya know?"
"OK OK I got it!!! You ready? You ready for this?! Tony Bennett!!!!!"
"Yes!!! Tony Bennett is EXACTLY what that top line on the lineup was missing!"
Very underwhelming lineup but the big WOW factor for me is the Greenhornes with Eric Burdon. That is going to be a hell of a set and if I had the cash, I'd travel to this fest for that show alone.
