I am constantly hearing this but how on earth can being soaking wet and uncomfortable for days be as awesome as you are all saying it is.
i might be in the minority, but i don't really like the rainstorms. a cooling sprinkle sure.....but in 09 it was fucking insane thursday night and the wind was blowing so hard that rain got in our tent anyway through the rain fly and our EZ up blew away. thursday night i was thinking, if it rains the whole time i won't be able to last b/c everything in our tent was wet, we were soaking, it was not fun.
It made me so happy to see this link come up in my referrers, last year was so hot at Bonnaroo I almost died & thought I would never go back. But, here's June and we're gearing up for Transmissions From Planet Louderoo 2012. Let's hope it stays dry.
2010 was horrific. The humidity and heat, felt like running around in a sauna. Just so draining. 97 degrees, 108 heat index... for the love of corncat, just no.
I was sooooooo sick after 07... that was the real dustaroo!!! last year doesn't compare at all... plus I had alcohol poisoning in 07... it was a fun year, but by far my least favorite that I've gone to over the years..
I'm always praying for rain at bonnaroo, but not the whole weekend, just a nice 30 minute shower once a day to keep the dust down would be great! My favorite years for weather were '05 and '09...

2010 was legitimately that bad. That's the only time I almost thought I wouldn't be able to make it the whole weekend.
On a semi-related note, the weather here in Middle TN has been more or less average since our unseasonably warm winter and summer-like early spring. It was 49 outside this morning. Hopefully this cooler-ish trend holds a few more weeks.

I'm guessing sunny with a 30% chance of thunder storms every day... seems like that's always the weather mans prediction.
if memory serves me and it may not... i recall 05 being overall best weather year. i think i rained a little but it was un-Tennessee like cool the entire weekend

05 was by far the best weather wise. only rained once all weekend, sat afternoon i believe. Overcast most of the weekend, never got warmer than mid 80's
(and yes, this is now the 'talk about past roo weather' thread)

So far the weather here in Tennesse has been good, sunny and rainny but not too hot! Believe it or not the date being moved up one weekend can make a huge difference in the temp. Living here my entire life, I am going to take a guess and say it is going to be warm, mid 80's to low 90's with some scattered rain/thundershowers. I am hoping the temp are a lot like 09 when, yes it was hot but it cooled off enough to sleep good. I would for sure perfer the rain/ Thunderstorms over the dust! No matter what it's Bonnaroo!
Some rain might be nice my allergies have been killer and the rain could help that. 2011 was quite a dustaroo so light showers and cool temps would be pretty welcome. Although I am not getting myself to excited with accuweather "20 day from now report" I barely trust the 5 day weather report. So wait and see we will !!!!!!!

wet feet are the worst EVER.
Same here. 09 was my second Roo, but first time trying to camp, and we were totally unprepared. Before dark, our camp was ruined, and everything soaked. I was trying to leave, but we were dead in the middle of a pod and would of had to ask too many people to take down camp to clear a path for us to leave. We drove a jeep wrangler rental, and all of our soaking wet supplies were in the back, so we couldn't even recline the front seats. We spent the whole weekend sleeping in a sit up position. ....And it was probably my favorite Bonnaroo that I've been to. I learned the most valuable lesson a person could know about Bonnaroo that year. Its up to you to make the most of your weekend. Bonnaroo is going to do whatever it can to make your weekend horrible, but you have to take the bad in stride and concentrate on the positives.
